I was previously employed in the America Reads Counts Program for UNLV tutoring Reading and Math at Morrow and Ward Elementary. Afterwards, I worked for Title I for three years tutoring students of low income families in their homes or at the local library, This involves administering exams, Language Arts and Math Lesson Plans for Grades K-12, and Evaluating Student's performance online. I also worked for Huntington Learning Center as a K-12 Math and English Tutor (including assisting Students with their homework in any subject or preparing for the SSAT and PSAT exams) and as a fourth year Substitute Teacher for CCSD. I also have various experiences in working with children. This includes the direct supervision of children for nonprofit organizations such as the Boys and Girls Club and Project RAVE. I've also volunteered my time for Elementary Mentoring Programs and Sunrise Hospital’s Pediatric Oncology.
*** Lesson Details ***
Based of experience, a good Tutor is never too strict or too laid back. I find a right mix in between for Students to get more comfortable, and find ways to make any lesson more engaging. I can tailor lessons based off the Student's needs. I'm available for homework help in any subject for Grades K-8, and I can also help High School Students with their Pre-Algebra or Algebra homework. As far as Exam Prep's or a specific curriculum- I can help with Writing, Math, and Reading- I don't have any materials to serve as aides, but I can recommend something that may be purchased or borrowed from the library. Rest assured that I've helped numerous Students raise their grades and learn better in school.

Our son almost immediately became comfortable with Teacher Marlene. She is very patient and tells jokes to break up their session. Our son has given her a 10 on a 1-10 scale.
