Award-winning author of 80+ children's books makes writing fun for ALL

When I was 9, I won a Mother's Day poem-writing contest. My first thought: "I can't believe no one else entered." Several decades later, I *still* don't know if that's why I won, but now that I'm the author of 80+ books for children, I do know this: writing creatively is an adventure. This is not your typical writing session. I make it fun and funny. If you're an avid writer, this is for you. If you're a reluctant writer, same! I've worked with all kinds of kids. Each session will involve lively discussion and mind-blowing tips...you won't want it to end. So let's get started!

Hey kids! When I was your age, my parents forced me to take judo. Guitar. Computing programming. And writing. I thought I would like guitar, but I didn't. I did not know I would like writing SO much that it would become my job! You are the same. You also don't already know everything that will become your passion. I've had the privilege of teaching creative writing to kids around the world for years, and the kids have taught me, too: I've learned a lot about what kids like and what you don't. We'll work at your pace, with subjects you like as much as possible, to help you become the writer you did not know you could be. Even if your parents are forcing YOU to do this, you’ll have FUN. Here’s what one young person said about my session: "I thought you were 100%! It was an honor to learn from you." But I can't help you with guitar.

Marc Nobleman is an excellent teacher. He has been able to connect to and work with our child on their writing and worked hard to make it fun and exciting. We are impressed with how well he has managed to work with somebody who was struggling with writing and been able to walk them down the road of understanding and starting to enjoy writing. Our child has always struggled with writing in part due to having ADHD. We are seeing improved enjoyment with writing. It’s nice to see them thinking about the different parts of writing and enjoying learning to combine different parts of writing into a good story. Marc’s willingness to be flexible and work with our child with approaches that work well for them is representative of him being a great teacher. We are pleased to have found Marc as a teacher.

My teenage daughter had two lessons a week to create short stories. As difficult it was, Marc motivated her and she was able complete each story on time. He provided constructive feed back that made her next short story even better. Marc, made the experience enjoyable rather than just another English class.

Zoe had a great time and is excited to continue with her story. I think this was a great experience and the time and attention that Marc gave really motivated her to work on improving her creative writing. Thanks, Marc!

I'm the award-winning author of more than 80 books for young people including "Bill the Boy Wonder: The Secret Co-Creator of Batman," which changed history and inspired an unprecedented feature documentary called "Batman & Bill." Other titles include "The Chupacabra Ate the Candelabra," "Brave Like My Brother," and "Thirty Minutes Over Oregon: A Japanese Pilot's World War II Story." I've been speaking in schools since 2001 (now 50+ a year), running writing workshops for young people for nearly as long, and teaching high-rated creative writing camps since 2015.
