When I was your age, my parents forced me to take judo. And guitar. And computing programming. And writing. But before I tried those activities, I did not know which I would like. I thought I would like guitar, but I didn't. I did not think I would like writing THAT much, but I did. SO much that it became my job! You are the same. You also don't already know everything that will become your passion. I've had the privilege of teaching creative writing to kids around the world for years, and the kids have taught me, too: I've learned a lot about what kids like and what you don't. That mean I focus on the FUN of writing. No tests, no stress. I make sure my writing sessions have something for ALL, even you kids who are forced to do them. We'll work at your pace, with subjects you like as much as possible, to help you become the writer you did not know you could be. I'm not saying that writing will become your passion. I am saying that you will enjoy our time together. No need to take my word for it; here's feedback from one of the many schools I've presented at: "In 30 years of hosting best-selling authors, Marc's presentation was the best I have ever witnessed. Judging from the student response, he transformed what it means to be a writer." —Karen Palko, teacher, International School of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia But I can't help you with judo.

My teenage daughter had two lessons a week to create short stories. As difficult it was, Marc motivated her and she was able complete each story on time. He provided constructive feed back that made her next short story even better. Marc, made the experience enjoyable rather than just another English class.
Zoe had a great time and is excited to continue with her story. I think this was a great experience and the time and attention that Marc gave really motivated her to work on improving her creative writing. Thanks, Marc!
My 4th grader really enjoys the lessons (and she's not an easy sell!). She happily writes her stories without any nagging, and looks forward to discussing them with Marc. She has begged me to keep signing her up for lessons throughout the summer. It's been a great experience!
