Biology classes can be fun and educative with an experienced biology teacher

When I was in elementary school, my best friend and I would go to Lincoln Park Zoo every week. Due to our love of animals, we wanted to be veterinarians when we grew up. She did end up becoming a vet! I went to vet school but learned it was not for me. So I have a Bachelor in Biology which was taken into consideration when applying and attending veterinary school, University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine. Thus, I do have knowledge in vet med science too if you're curious or want to ask me questions on how to get into vet school. Who do human physicians treat? Humans. Who do veterinarians treat? Every other animal on the planet except humans! (Although they have the knowledge to treat people, they legally cannot.) ;D Also, I love to "inject" some fun and humor into my sessions. When you're having fun learning, it tends to stick more. Happy studying!

    About Lillian C.

I've been tutoring elementary student in Common Core math this past couple years. It is definitely different than what we were taught when I was young. But I firmly believe that having more tools in your toolbelt is more advantageous than not. While I only listed I tutor Biology and Algebra on here, I know Common Core math for 4-6th graders and various branches of Biology (microbiology, genetics, phycology. animal biology, and veterinary medicine, etc.). While I went to vet school, I chose to withdraw before graduating so I am not a veterinarian. But I still took the required science courses (in 1 regular semester, we had 23 classes with 33 credit hours! Thankfully, they changed the curriculum now, or so I've heard.) If you're pre-vet looking for suggestions for admission or just a student looking to pass math or science, let me know! I've had learning disabilities all my life and had to cope how to pass classes through mnemonic devices (memory tricks)*, without professional help. Tough subjects are easier when there's someone there to support and walk alongside you. I will do my best to help you achieve your academic goals. *p.s. Mnemonic devices are extremely helpful! It helped me get a 4.0 (out of 4.0 grade scale), high enough to be considered for and accepted into vet school. Example: Cardinal directions - Never Eat Sour Wheats for North East South West. I have an uncanny ability to make them on the spot that has a connection to you so you'll (hopefully) remember it for the rest of your life! I just made one for a student today for the quadratic equation.
