About Lillian B.
Lillian Brace, originally from a small town in Missouri, started dancing at age 3. Lillian credits her growth as a dancer to numerous teachers and mentors over her formative years. Her early training was predominantly in Classical Ballet Methods including RAD (Royal Academy of Dance), Ceccetti and Vaganova. In 2009, she accepted a trainee position with The Missouri Contemporary Ballet Company. Her classical roles over the years have included Snow Queen and Dans des Mirlitons in The Nutcracker, Sylph in Les Sylphides, and Cat in Peter and the Wolf. During her undergraduate studies, she explored Neoclassical Ballet styles and fell in love with Contemporary Ballet and the Gaga movement language.
Lillian holds a B.F.A. in Dance from Belhaven University. She has continued to dance professionally and instructs Ballet, Pointe, Contemporary, Modern Dance, and Dancer specific conditioning classes, working with all level movers. She has attended a variety of dance programs across the U.S. including The Joffrey Ballet School NYC, Ad Deum Dance Company, and The San Francisco Conservatory of Dance. She has had the privilege performing works by choreographers such as Christian Burns, Isadora Duncan, Robert Moses, and Ohad Naharin. Lillian has also worked closely with numerous teachers and choreographers such as Summer Lee Rhatigan, Alex Ketley, Chiaru Shibata, Bobbi Jene Smith, Karen Castleman, and Adi Salant. In 2014, she accepted a scholarship position with Visceral Dance Center in Chicago, IL under the direction of Nick Pupillo.
A few years ago, she discovered the Gyrotonic Methodology and has been forever changed by it. Lillian is a Certified GYROTONIC® Trainer and teaches Gyrotonic® group classes and individual private lessons in the Denver and Boulder, CO areas.
When it comes to the pursuit of overall health and wellness, she embraces a holistic approach. Lillian enjoys investigating holistic eating habits, conditioning exercises and injury prevention. Her passion is movement and living an abundant life. She is deeply committed to helping others reach their highest levels of health and happiness. While she loves moving, she also appreciates a great outdoor adventure in her hiking boots or scaling to new heights through rock climbing. It is her honor and great joy to share her knowledge with those who have a desire to enhance their own personal movement and expand their creative minds and hearts!
