I am a San Francisco-based Russian language and diction tutor with more than 8 years of experience. I have a background in linguistics and speak four languages, I know very well how the language learning process works and I can share all my tips and techniques with you. At my classes, I mix and match modern teaching methods and always try to share vibrant, real-life aspects of the language with my students throughout the learning process. We use a lot of authentic materials that are sufficiently challenging but immersive, relevant and interesting. I work with students of all ages. I even have experience in teaching classes for 2-5-year-old kids. I love digging into the origins of the Russian language, the grammar, the punctuation and other technical aspects that can be fascinating for language-lovers. I help develop good practice habits that enable you to maximize your learning experience and achieve your goals faster. In addition to the language skills, my students can expect to acquire cultural knowledge. I have worked as theatre interpreter and I would love to share my knowledge of Russian theatre, music and drama. I have certificates of Teaching Russian as a Foreign Language from the two most acclaimed linguistic universities in Russia: Moscow State University and Moscow State Linguistic University. I also have a BA cum laude in Linguistics and Translation; I am a professional interpreter and translator to/from English and Spanish. For the past 6 years, apart from teaching the Russian language, I have worked as a theatre interpreter in Moscow and supported international productions as a Russian diction coach and interpreter in the UK, Spain and Hong Kong.
