About Laura O.
I am an assistant biology professor at Lake-Sumter State College, where I teach general biology, microbiology, and anatomy with physiology courses to college and high school students. I have been teaching biological sciences for over 25 years, and I have a master's degree in public health with a focus on epidemiology and infectious diseases.
My mission is to inspire and empower my students to appreciate and explore the wonders of biology, and to prepare them for their academic and professional goals. I am a MENSA inductee and a lifelong learner, and I strive to share my joy and enthusiasm for biology with my students.
