Looking for someone to help you get pumped about a challenging topic? I am your gal! The Lord has blessed me with enthusiasm for learning, and I will show you how to get excited about it too. I earned my bachelor's degree from Northwestern University in 2003. My highest degree is a PhD in psychology with a specialty in quantitative research methods, which I earned from Vanderbilt in 2012. As a PhD student I taught courses in introductory statistics and tutored high school and college students in math. When I'm not tutoring, I teach my children, who are 6, 4, and 2, and run a printing business with my husband. I love to work with students of all ages and skill levels. Click the green button, and let's get started!

    Experience

    Tutor

    Aug, 2017 - Present

    Classical Conversations

I tutor students in 4th-5th grade with my local homeschooling community once a week. Each week we memorize facts in history, English, math, science, Latin, and geography. We complete a science project and a fine arts project, and each student gives a presentation. Finally, we spend some time reviewing all of the facts we learned in previous weeks. I also support and encourage parents, because they are their students' primary teachers! Classical Conversations offers free parent training every summer.
