Biology with Kevin P.

I graduated with honors with a B.S. in Technology, Science & Society from SUNY Farmingdale in 2016. A majority of my courses were in Biology, Chemistry and Physics (to complete prerequisites for a career in health sciences) Currently I am working on my Master's in Pharmaceutical Science at York College. I used to work as a professional in the Automotive Industry for nearly a decade before I decided I wanted to do something else. Already in my thirties, I decided to go back to school to pursue my interests in the Life Sciences. It seemed pretty crazy at the time because I did not have a background in anything remotely scientific. Throughout my time in school I gained experience in learning new topics, coming to understand concepts and ideas that seemed as foreign as a new language at times. I was then able to help other students do the same while tutoring and in study groups. No matter where the student is in their level of understanding and progress, I can match the lessons to help them overcome the areas they are struggling in and continue to master the subject, step by step. It took determination and patience for me to get this far (and I still have ways to go). I will work with my students with the same determination and patience to help them succeed in getting where they want to be.
