My name is Katrina and I received my mathematics degree from the University of North Texas in May 2015. While at the university, I took classes that allowed me to student teach elementary and middle school classes. I also had the opportunity to tutor college students individually during my final year by working at the university's math lab. During this time, students would bring in their math coursework from classes that ranged from college algebra to calculus. In addition, I was also a teaching assistant and was responsible for leading an elementary statistics class.
During a tutoring session I would like to identify where a student struggles in a particular subject and help them so they can better understand the concept. Also, I would prefer to know what specific topic they are needing assistance with before meeting so I will be better prepared to help.
