Psychology with Katie T.

I am a licensed professional counselor serving youth and adolescents. I have been practicing for four years and am excited to continue on. My desire to serve others, specifically in the mental health field, has been sharpened by many continuing education and training courses. I have training and experience in trauma-focused counseling, suicide focused counseling and play therapy, just to name a few areas. Broadening my skills has helped to broaden the services I can provide. Psychology is not a one size fits all type approach; therefore, having a wide array of knowledge and skills can help the counseling I provide adapt based off a consumer's need. Mental health is a strong passion of mine. I feel mental health is just as important as physical health, yet isn't talked about nearly enough. This has developed a desire to help end the stigma of mental health. I am excited to share my knowledge and experience with students eager to learn psychology!
