This is how we prep!! Getting to know the test inside and out.

This is an answer to a question about my tutoring philosophy, why I do what I do. I hope it helps provide a personalized introduction.
99th Percentile feels good! I literally tutored myself through my own most recent standardized test, the GRE. Tutoring works!

Proud day, featured in the Juilliard Journal.

Katherine tutored both of my teenage daughters for the SAT. Her sage advice, helpful tips, and thorough knowledge of the material guided my daughters’ preparation. They each took the SAT in the middle of their junior year and, thanks to Kate, felt ready and confident. They far surpassed their PSAT scores earning a 1530 and 1560. Although my daughters have very different personalities and learning styles, Kate identified their individual strengths and personalized their tutoring sessions. My older daughter also employed Katherine’s strategies on her English Regents exam and received a 99. We are so thankful for Katherine’s patient, thoughtful, and supportive preparation and thrilled with our daughters’ results.

Katherine was amazing! She was focused and stayed on task with my daughter. Working with Katherine for even just 10 lessons gave my daughter the confidence, techniques, and information for her to raise her SAT score by 270 points!
She is an ultimate professional arriving on time and prepared to start right away. Assignments were doable with my daughters schedule and communication with me was fantastic. I would more than highly recommend her for tutoring if any age!

The instructor was very professional and extremely well prepared. She tutored me for the GRE exam for about five months, and I can honestly say that my preparation was boosted by her great teaching skills as well as careful lesson planning. The sessions were planned in detail in order to work on all of the three sections of the test, paying particular attention to those topics that needed extra practice first. Weekly material was brought to class, and homework were regularly assigned and checked. The tutor was reliable and could be reached by email during the week for any questions and/or clarifications regarding the course work. Would recommend to anyone.

Great with kids

My 10-year-old daughter has studied with Kate for several months now, and we both adore her. Not only is Kate extremely knowledgeable about many aspects of singing and performing, but she knows how to impart that knowledge to a young student in a way that is both effective and fun. Brava!
