Get assistance in any math related topic, including advanced mathematical concepts!

Struggling with homework or struggling to understand math concepts in class? I can assist students through homework while helping them understand important mathematical concepts involved. Topics range from basic math skills, like multiplication and division to advanced mathematical concepts, such as trigonometry, geometry, and calculus. I have received a B.S. from Providence College and currently attending Columbia University to receive a B.S. in mechanical engineering in 2024. Since I am a student, I can relate more closely to students and help them through problems in ways that have been effective for me. I will boost math skills overall and emphasize important concepts that are utilized in more advanced math classes. I have a specialized background compared to typical math teachers because my understanding of advanced math concepts is geared toward their application in engineering. Therefore I can help students understand mathematics along with its practical uses.

    About Joseph P.

I am a current college student attending Columbia University for a B.S. in mechanical engineering in 2024 and have received a B.S. from Providence College. Previously I tutored advanced mathematics, such as calculus I, II, and III, ordinary differential equations, and linear algebra for Providence College. I also tutored in physics at Providence College. Since I am a student in engineering I can relate more closely to other students and help to understand useful concepts that I may still be using currently. This perspective allows me to show students the more practical uses of mathematics and science, as it relates to engineering and the real world. I have always been great at connecting with students to help them learn in a way that has been effective for me.
