Bible Studies with John L.

John is the founding pastor of the BridgePointe Baptist Church. He studied the Bible at William Carey University, where he received a BA in Religious Studies. He received Masters of Art Degree from the prestigious Belhaven University. Pastor John's earliest experience in church was at the Calvary MB Church in Magee, MS where he was baptized at the youthful age of 7. It was there that he knelt and gave his heart to Jesus and committed his life to leading others to a right relationship with God. In his early teens, Pastor John began teaching Sunday School and leading youth ministry. His love for teaching was cultivated when he became the Pastor of the New Hopewell Baptist Church in Laurel, MS. After teaching a bible study group in his living room, Pastor John was called to the work of church planting. With the love, support and spiritual covering of the West Point Baptist Church in Hattiesburg, MS the vision of the BridgePointe Baptist Church became even clearer. After several months of prayer and preparation, Pastor John and his late wife Cozette sat down with five other couples and shared the vision of the BridgePointe Church. Together they began leading others to discover an intimate relationship with God, become involved with others in faith, and walk in the integrity of Christ. On any given day, you can find Pastor John enjoying music and sharing his faith. He also enjoys fishing the fresh springs of MS.
