Know Yourself: Acting with Joe Coffey

Objective. What are you trying to get from the other person or people in the scene? That's what we're going to focus on. Whether it's for camera or stage, if we focus on the objective, you can be free and present and not have to worry about anything else. Essence. What's your's? Everyone has a unique essence, something that makes them distinct from anyone else. I will help you figure out what your's is if you don't know what it is already. Once you know your general essence, you can explore and go deeper in your work.

hi there! I'm an actor and coach originally from Boston but now based in Los Angeles. I work with helping beginners and established actors grow as artists by being more specific with their objectives, choices and developing empathy for the people/characters they're embracing in the story. Whether it's helping with coaching on a current scene/monologue or being a reader for self-tapes and auditions, I can help. Whatever your acting needs or interests are, let's talk and find you the best fit possible. I'm available via Zoom or in-person if you're based in Los Angeles.
