Hello! I will be updating my background check soon! I am also a Certified teacher and have fingerprints and background checks from NYDept of Education, Mental health and Department of Investigation in NY. I am passionate about traditional and digital Photography and Photoshop. I started taking pictures when I was 10 years old. I always loved everything about photography and design. I studied Photography, Film and Graphic Design in college. I have 10 years of experience working with the special needs population teaching art, reading and study skills. My teaching approach; I focus on my student's strengths and talents, I am always finding ways to build confidence and self esteem in my students. When a student is confident in his/her abilities it can make a world of a difference and not only increase learning ability but also increase their enjoyment in learning. I offer online tutoring and in-person sessions in NY. Currently I am studying Art Therapy and how it can help children and adults with Stress, Health issues, Emotions and Learning Disabilities. Away from work; I like to relax, enjoy music, concerts, art /photography, movies, walking and reading. I also enjoy learning about animals and pet care.

Andrea - Mother of an elementary student

Mrs. Jacqueline is a wonderful teacher. She is enthusiastic, caring and accessible. She used different reading strategies to help my son to learn the sounds of the letters and decode words, as well as to learn sight words. Mrs. Jacqueline has high expectations for my son and he made a lot of progress in his pre-reading skills. She motivated my son to learn and as a result he was engage and eager to learn how to read. Mrs. Jacqueline develop a good relation with my son and with me. She was always willing to send me updates on how my son was doing and giving me tips on how to help him at home. I am very happy with Mrs. Jacqueline teaching skills, I am looking forward for her to continue teaching my son in the near future.

Ms. Jacqueline has been of invaluable help in assisting me in my preparation and analyses of reading selections for students in grades 6-12. She is very well read, and possesses insight into theme, plot, and character development in works meaningful to teens and teens. Her guidance helped me prepare materials I was proud to present to my superior.
