I am a registered and certified pharmacy technician with over 20 years of teaching and training pharmacy technician students. I have taught in the traditional classroom since 2001 and more recently in the online classroom. My students have graduated and gone on to work in the field as pharmacy technicians and they highly enjoy it. I have successfully coached hundreds of students who had the desire to become certified pharmacy technicians by passing the certification exam offered by the PTCB. The certification exam offered by NHA is very similar and I can help you to pass that also! I have worked as a pharmacy technician for 6 years for major chain pharmacies such as Leader and CVS Pharmacy. The topics I have taught and provided hands-on training on include outpatient pharmacy operations, sterile and non-sterile compounding, aseptic techniques for intravenous and chemotherapy preparations, medication administration records, and unit-dose preparations. I have a bachelor's degree in biology and a master's in education. I currently work as an online instructor. My favorite subjects to teach include pharmacology, dosage calculations, medical terminology, and basic sciences (biology and chemistry). Students enjoy taking courses from me because I break down complicated subjects into smaller content that is easy to understand.
