Build intuition in physics and calculus with a Cambridge Marshall Scholar
Like any other tutor, I'll help you solve specific types of problems in physics — however, I treat these as a means to an end, rather than an end in themselves. The real skill I aim to teach (and what makes physics so enjoyable for me) is a way of thinking about problems, building intuition from the ground up so that even totally unfamiliar problems become approachable and fun.
Even if you're taking physics as a requirement and don't find it fun, my other goal is to make our sessions fun regardless. A fully successful session for me is one in which my students have an a-ha moment, gain confidence in starting and solving problems, and enjoy the time they spent in the process.

Hey there! My name's Dan, and my passion is helping people develop a deeper, more intuitive understanding of math and physics.
When I was in college, there were many times where one of my classmates would ask the professor a question, the professor would give an unhelpful reply, and I would sit there frustrated that they had completely misunderstood the heart of my classmate's question. I realized that I had a knack for understanding the specific obstacle a person was encountering with understanding a concept, which put me in a great position to help them overcome that obstacle. As a result, I started teaching and tutoring math as a college junior in 2015, and I've been loving it ever since.
