Hello! My name is Curtis, and I am a rising medical student at a top-20 university. I graduated summa cum laude from UCLA with a 3.99 GPA and a 97th percentile MCAT. I am very passionate about teaching MCAT/AP Chemistry and Biology and helping boost student grades and test scores. As someone who scored a 3 on the AP Chemistry exam, I can really relate to students who struggle in the sciences. What's worse is that it can kill your confidence, especially if you want to go into competitive fields, such as the healthcare profession. However, after meeting a lot of professors and mentors who helped me at UCLA, I was able to achieve perfect marks in biology and chemistry AND get a 97th percentile on the MCAT science sections. I realized that it is not the subject that is hard to understand - it is the lack of guidance. If you are feeling stuck, you are not alone. I like to teach students with simple analogies to help them grasp the hardest concepts. I tutor students in middle school all the way up to college - I really understand how to tailor my communication to fit your needs.
