I remember the first time I realized I loved chemistry. I was fourteen and I made my own soap. My very first thought was why don't I just make everything I need from now on. This was subsequently shut down when I was told how much the production costs of making my own materials would be. However, my passion for the subject grew. This coupled with several of my peers in my school and other schools recognition of my natural knack began my first time tutoring. I have been teaching ever since and within my eight years I have never had a student fail or get below a B average. Chemistry can be fun but more importantly, I believe the personal connection I make with my students is the cause of my students' success. I make the subject not only relatable but memorable. once someone understands the fundamentals of chemistry, synthesis and higher level aspects of the subject become significantly easier. I have both a chemical engineering and applied chemistry background which allows me to assist students in all aspects of Chemistry.
