First, I would want to find out what my students strengths and weaknesses are.  I would want to know their weaknesses so I know what to key in on in my lessons.  I would want to know my students' strengths so that I can use their already known skills to relate to new content.  I would also use prior knowledge help build students' confidence.  This would be a major priority of mine.  Sometimes confidence is the biggest barrier to student success.

I am currently a seventh grade math and prealgebra teacher for Kingman Unified School District in Arizona.  I graduated from The University of Akron with a B.S. Degree in middle level education for math and social studies.  I love math and love helping students gain confidence and grow as they learn.
