Dance with Caitlin J.

Caitlin has studied dance since the age of 3. She is trained in the techniques of tap, ballet, acro, musical theater, contemporary, lyrical, with a special love for jazz and hip-hop. Some highlights of her education include attending the Radio City Rockette Summer Intensive, completing a comtemporary dance apprenticeship at Dance Alloy, and attending David DeMarie Dance Studio summer sessions alongside stars from SYTYCD. Upon her graduation from Carnegie Mellon University in May 2014, Caitlin immediately relocated to New York City to pursue dancing professionally. After a few weeks of attending auditions, she experienced success with the Brooklynettes dance team, and will be performing with them for the NBA 2014-2015 season. Caitlin began as an apprentice dance instructor at the age of 14 and began teaching at the age of 18. She is also a certified Zumba instructor and brings her power and energy to all dance classes. Her favorite part of teaching dance is the confidence that students gain when they improve upon a step that they had not mastered before. She says, "My dancers keep me going! Their smiles are so bright and each girl works so hard in dance class. It is so rewarding to know that I am a huge part of what they love so much. I take that responsibility very seriously, and work hard to improve each week and to foster my students love of dance even further!"
