I am a graduate of Saint Martin's University with a BA in Business Administration. I've worked in both academic and business settings with a variety of job duties, including: teaching students one-on-one, drafting professional correspondence for a large mortgage company, as well as conducting interviews and making hiring decisions for a private university. I take this diverse experience and translate it into very practical lessons/tutoring sessions that students can use to get better grades in school while also learning a writing style that will help them land interviews and excel at work. I teach essay writing to middle school, high school, and university age students with a focus on persuasive, argumentative, and problem-solution styles. I cover brainstorming, researching, thesis development, outlining, voice, logical fallacies, citations, and more. These were the subjects that my English professor in college taught me with humility, patience, and reason. I strive to create a similar environment for my students where they can feel relaxed and ready to learn.
