I've been studying mathematics for 7+ years, and have tutored at the high school and undergraduate level. In the first class, we will discuss your goals and what you hope to take away from the classes, and customize a plan for your best interests. I specialize in theoretical computer science, combinatorics, graph theory, and discrete math, and typically either follow a textbook in a specific topic, or generate problems and exercises to work through with the student. I try to design my sessions so that students learn what they like to learn, while also developing a foundation and mathematical maturity for higher levels. I love working with students of all ages and levels, and I can't wait to meet you!
About Baris E.

I'm a PhD student in Computer Science at MIT, focusing on algorithmic bioinformatics and complexity theory. I graduated with a double major in Mathematics and Computer Science from MIT in 2020. I love math and think about it pretty much all the time, and I want to help you get better at it! When I'm not doing math, I like composing and producing music: I play a couple of instruments (like guitar, bass, piano and drums), and I like recording songs and beats in my home studio. I am also an avid speedcuber! I like solving different types of Rubik's Cube puzzles (e.g., the classic 3x3, but also the more complex 4x4 or 5x5 or even Pyraminx, a pyramid-shaped puzzle) fast (under 30 seconds). There is a lot of math in a Rubik's cube as well, so if you're interested, we can also work on that! Excited to meet you, and hopefully help you get better at math!
