I am a Senior Accountant for The City of Yonkers. I graduated with a Masters Degree in Accounting from The City of University of New York, and have worked in the profession for over 8 years. I am a CRLA Level 1 certified tutor with 2 years of tutoring accounting students while completing my Bachelor's degree. Accounting concepts and theory can be difficulty to grasp in the first year, but I assure you I can help make it simpler and less difficult. Being able to help students overcome difficulties brings me immense joy as a tutor, which I will like to continue to touch many more lives. I was recently promoted to the Planning Department of the City of Yonkers to supervise their finance department, where millions of dollars flow throw every year. Developing a structed work plan process, training individuals on accounting systems and concepts, reviewing spreadsheets, and maintaining the books for audit review are some of the roles I embrace. Entering Journals, reading and interpreting financial statements are a major part of my responsibility also. I am able to complete simple personal tax returns. Taxes are an important part of being an accountant. It is very important to understand the tax rules and know how they work. I have done my personal tax return for more than 10 years, and have completed the H&R tax course in 2021. I can help you understand your own personal tax return, and help you plan ahead.
