Improve your essay writing and time management skills

Students will learn how to write using their active voice, how to vary their sentence structure and how to avoid repetitive wording. They will also learn how to be concise, how to use formal language, and how to write for their audience. The overall goal of my lessons is to help improve both a student's knowledge and confidence in writing academic papers by acquiring a solid understanding of basic grammar, punctuation, style and sentence structure; this includes also learning how to build a solid thesis to support their arguments and how to write a conclusion that supports their research. Also included in this lesson will be how to develop an interesting opening paragraph to hook readers from the get-go and most importantly - how to edit and proofread an essay. By the end of our lessons, you will feel confident and knowledgeable in your essay writing skills. As a bonus, students will also learn a variety of tips and tricks in time management to help them manage their workload and stay on top of assignments and other daily tasks.

    About Arianne B.

I'm new here and looking to build a teaching portfolio through TakeLessons. I have two college degrees both majoring in Science and am currently working towards obtaining my crime scene certification. My goal here is to help other students, whether young or old, achieve their goals and prepare for their future. While I know that my own education and expertise is not something that can be taught here on this platform, what I am offering is something I have increased knowledge in doing - writing. Through my twelve-plus years of college academics, I have written many journals, articles and papers; I have done numerous amounts of research and outlining and I have continued to do so since graduating from my masters program in 2017. Aside from teaching writing, I want to also offer the many tips and tricks I have learned along the way in regards to time management and it's importance in keeping you on track with your assignments and academic goals. With this, I will also be offering a number of worksheets and templates that I've created to help get you started. I hope I get to work with you soon! And if you have any questions, don't be afraid to ask.
