    About Anna B.

Hello! My name is Anna and I am a recent college graduate from West Virginia University! I majored in Criminology and double minored in History and Psychology. Throughout my years as a student, I found that when the teacher or professor made the class more fun and engaging, I did better as a student. When I tutor, I try to ensure a good balance between learning the material and having fun while doing it. Learning should be fun for all students! I have been playing the cello for more than 15 years! I actively played in an orchestra for 10 years before I started playing the cello on the side while in college. Now I continue to play as a hobby and as a private teacher. I have experience in teaching beginners how to play the cello, as well as teaching more advanced students harder techniques. I also have done some arranging and composing in the past. But what I love most about teaching the cello is seeing kids go from being nervous or unsure to confident and wanting to play all the time. I want all my students to have the best experience when working with me and I also want to improve my tutoring skills. So any feedback from students and parents is greatly appreciated! If you are interested in a lesson with me or have any questions, please feel free to contact me!
