Hello,

I am a native of North Carolina. I graduated from Virginia State University with a Bachelors of Science in Computer Engineering. While I studied for my degree, I was always working with Mathematics and course-related classes, tutoring other students while helping my classmates with the work as well. After graduation, I relocated to California to pursue any work opportunities on the West Coast. I did find a short-term opportunity with Education and I do enjoy it, but I am currently in transition, willing to tutor individuals that would like the help, and pursuing full-time employment within Education.

Receiving my Bachelors Degree

I am a math instructor and math tutor for South Piedmont Community College in Monroe, NC. I started as a tutor; with my understanding of the subject, I was allotted to work full-time as an instructor for the remaining of the Spring Semester of 2015.

I accompanied the staff on weekends to help students study with classwork, prepare for quizzes, tests, and exams, as well as build their study skills in preparation for college.

At times, I served as a counselor to mediate problems, help students find solutions, or give a different perspective towards their class material, life situations, and planning ahead.

Within this position, I tutored Basic Math, Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Pre-Calculus, Finite Math, and Discrete Mathematics.

I was a math tutor under the direction of the Math Department of my University during my tenure there. I cooperated with students to build their understanding of Math and Computer Science concepts using real world examples. At times, I would facilitate the Tutoring Lab to help multiple groups and disciplines at a time.

Within this position, I tutored Basic Math, Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Pre-Calculus, Finite Math, Discrete Mathematics, Calculus I and II, Differential Equations, Intro to Programming, C++, and Object Oriented Programming.
