I am a graduate medical student at Boston University with prior experience in biomedical engineering (Undergrad major) and medical sciences. Teaching is a huge aspect of my life as our civilization is built upon the pursuit and exchange of education. I find pleasure in seeing my students understand their subjects and improve through their hard work and passion for their subjects. I have a solid foundation in college mathematics ranging from linear algebra to differential calculus as well as a variety of science topics including college level and graduate biology, biochemistry, and biotechnology. I have experience tutoring students as a TA in tissue engineering class during my undergraduate and graduate studies. To further supplement my teaching experience, I have a publication for my work in biostatistics. My experiences have defined my approach to education. I encourage students to learn from a top-down perspective in order to understand the overall concept and slowly add details as required. This has shown better grades and better content retention with my prior students. I believe that all my students have to potential to succeed and are only hindered by their attitude towards education. I have taken multiple math courses in undergrad including basic calculus to advanced differential and multivariable calculus along with statistics. I believe that math is a means to add an element of truth to our everyday lives and I focus on the application of math rather than the theory underlying it.
