Hello, my name is Abdiel and I am a 20 year old 4th year teaching major currently attending U.S.C. in San Juan, Puerto Rico. As a native from this island I was exposed mildly to English from a young age but over time I discovered the works of authors such as R.L Stine and H.P. Lovecraft. With these stories I found myself falling in love with the tongue, so much so that I decided to make it my minor early in my college career. This love for reading din't take long to evolve into a love for writing as well which manifested itself in both the academic aspect with excellent marks on written assignments and the creative aspect with my hobby of crafting tools and charts to facilitate world building.
On the other hand my passion for teaching is a very natural one and have exercised it in various stages from a young age. I read stories to kids with the purpose of spreading literacy for about five years when I was eight years old, served as a voluntary museum guide in the UPR Cayey's Ecology Museum during my time attending, taught computer basics to the elderly as part of a government program for a year and currently fill in for some licensed teacher acquaintances when they have nobody they can trust their students to. (This can all be evidenced if the student feels it to be a bit too much experience for my age.)
These passions for both the discipline of teaching and writing lead me to this site.
Even if I have not finished my college career I am almost a licensed English teacher, having finished the required planning and evaluation courses along with most methodologies. Also I have classroom experience teaching everyone from kids to the elderly to some degree. Because of this I believe myself qualified for the tutoring of anyone from a high school level and downwards along with college students with entry level knowledge to academic writing and adults who wish to improve their creative fictional writing.
Started as an office clerk in a tech building and convinced my boss to let me re-open a program for teaching elderly people the basics for computers that used to exist there. She allowed it and I became an Educator, except the hours there wasn't any students, then I was just an office clerk. Quit due to moving from UPR Cayey to U.S.C.+ Read More
