I design wire wrapping, silver, gold, copper and clay jewelry. I have been doing so since 1976. I have been teaching silversmithing beginning to advanced students for over ten years; here in Southern California. I have taught other subjects such as painting and computer skills for many previous years. Metalsmith classes are easier to teach online and in person, enabling anyone to learn the craft. The difference with my creations is that there is a great amount of effort and details placed into each piece. So much so that I hope the recipients greet each piece with a smile. Nothing is left to chance during creation if it has not been created before. If a piece doesn't make it , I start over. I am patient and kind as a person and instructor. I have taught in all fifty States during my previous career as a programmer.

James really took the time to explain the acrylic colors and shading. Especially great that I now know the difference between translucent, opaque and transparent. I have painted for years but his classes helped me rediscover a live for painting people. The eyes were the hardest until I realized I must capture the tiniest detail. I recommend him for any class. Very patient and very generous soul! Thank you!!!!!
