Book NowHand drumming is so much more than just beating a drum. There is an essence about it that speaks through your soul. Lessons with me will be unique because we will talk about not only how to play and the fundamental tools needed to begin, but we will learn how to listen to those around us in order to have an all encompassing experience. It will be light, fun, informative, and we will go at whatever pace feels good for you, the student! I've been around drumming and drum circles for over ten years now and have come to have a very individual, impactful style for those around me. I look forward to sharing what I know!
About Jessica
Drumming is one of my life’s deepest passions. I was introduced to the art at The Great Blue Heron Music Festival drum circle. I was captivated by the scene: dozens of people creating impromptu rhythms together, on the spot, giving others sounds to dance to around the massive bonfire, all feeling t

It's also important to have an organized instructor--my last singing instructor never remembered where I was at or what we had done in the previous week's lesson. Cyndi takes advantage of all the time in the lesson and has a notebook organized by her student's names to record what we've worked on and the exercises she will give me for the next lesson! I'm really blown away by all the care Cyndi puts into each lesson. She also responds very quickly to texts and emails--when I registered for my first lesson I was a little nervous. But just a few minutes after I registered, I got a phone call from Cyndi asking questions about my experience and knowledge and connecting with me.
I can't say enough good things about Cyndi--every lesson has been great and I highly recommend you take lessons with her!! :)"

What makes Ryan a terrific instructor is more than just his extensive guitar knowledge. It's more than the personalized curriculum and patient approach he offers to each student. It's even more than his great sense of humor and the encouragement he brings to each lesson. What makes Ryan a truly great instructor becomes apparent within moments of meeting him: this dude LOVES the guitar. Simple as it sounds, the sheer enthusiasm he has for the instrument is infectious and carries over into his lessons in such a way that you can't help but take it home with you. Learning a new instrument can be a daunting and difficult journey, but you will not find an instructor more willing to guide you through it than Ryan."

Students learning the violin can rent or purchase instruments from music instrument retailers, and they offer a variety of instruments that can seem daunting for the novice violin purchaser. When will you know that it' …
