I truly believe everyone has an artist in them just waiting to explore. Learn about the technical aspects as well as the highly imaginative ones. Nothing is out of bounds and there are no wrong answers. I have spent a lifetime in the field and practice every day in my studio. Whether it’s painting, drawing or playing on your phone in apps start harnessing your creativity today!

In my classes you can expect to learn both the basics and advanced material:
-Painting realistic skin tones, composition,using a grisaille and verdaccio, glazing, methods and materials of the Old Masters, achieving a likeness in portraiture, accurate color mixing and matching, the use and preparation of painting mediums, translating what you see or envision onto the canvas successfully and much more. I enjoy teaching people that are passionate about art, regardless of their skill level.

Painting is a great creative outlet for people to spend time relaxing and make something beautiful that brings you pride and joy. Anyone can paint! All it takes is time and a willingness to make mistakes and learn from them. I’ve been painting for 8 years and teaching for 1. I welcome all students who are interested in picking up painting as new hobby or returning after a long time away. We’ll build out your painting techniques and color theory so you can paint from real life or something abstract.

I have many years of teaching art, sewing and technology to adults and children I want you to have fun and enjoy your experience and help you find your creative and artistic side....it's in there I promise!
