I am an open minded, friendly, multicultural experienced tutor of Japanese languages.
I can personalize lessons at your request from using basic GENKI textbook or Japanese for busy people to free conversation upon your advance request. Please let me know what your purpose and goal. I will do my best to help you to achieve your goal. (Hopefully with a lot of fun.)
I can also teach you Japanese culture such as Origami, cooking and calligraphy. I love Japanese history and would like to share richness of Japanese culture.

During my undergraduate studies, I worked as a president of SUNY Albany Japanese Student Association and also worked as a TA for Japanese 101 classes, and I absolutely love to teach languages! I understand it is often very hard to find a language tutor outside of the spoken community, and I hope to provide you with the opportunity to be exposed to authentic media sources to acquire natural fluency. Here is a little about me, I'm from Korea, graduated in Japan, working in America. Also,I'm an outgoing person. I like cooking, painting and watching movies. I really would like to meet new students who interested in Asian culture and people who would like to share their lifestyles and hobbies. Hope to meet you soon!

Ever since I discovered Dragon Ball Z on Toonami back in the early 2000's, I have come to develop a love of all things Japan, specifically anime and J-pop. My experience with learning Japanese started back when I started studying at home with my older brother back in 1999 or so, and then started studying Japanese at college, which culminated in the completion of a minor in Japanese as part of my BA. I have also visited Japan one time to visit my older brother who was teaching English over there at the time. I love Dragon Ball (among many, many other anime) and T.M. Revolution.

I can help you with conversation skills, correct pronunciation and proper grammar. I usually use a textbook called ‘Genki’ for my lessons. I provide the textbook so you don’t have to buy it. With ‘Genki’ we can work on various grammar points, vocabulary building, situational role playing, pronunciation, and plenty of exercises to improve your listening and speaking skills.

I try my best to keep the classes as relaxed as possible so that you can feel comfortable speaking and can learn at your own pace.

Become comfortable with daily conversational Japanese. I also offer music lesson in Japanese.
