I am an origami artist and origami teacher with more than 20 years experience of teaching origami to children, adults and seniors. I live in NYC. I have been teaching origami in private and public schools as well as community centers, museums and senior centers. I work well with special needs children and adults. I use paper and materials you can find in your own home, like printing paper, napkins, dollar bills or business cards. Origami is not just another art or craft form. It is a way of acquiring multitude of skills, in a fun way . Origami engages students in learning basic math concepts like shape, size and number. In the process they learn patience and concentration sequencing and problem solving. Most importantly, people of all ages gain self esteem as they succeed in finishing a model and take pride of their work. They also find that the models they fold can serve them for practical purposes; All kind of boxes to store crayons, staples, A dish to put candies, a hand ...

We hired Haggit for a corporate event. I am so pleased that we did, Haggit's origami session was such a hit! Haggit was really easy to work with in advance when we were planning what to make during the session. The participants at the session had huge smiles on their faces and everyone left learning how to make 3 new things with origami!

Haggit was great. We had a fun time and learned some along the way. Thank you Haggit :)

My 9 yr. old daughter received singing lessons with Rachel. Rachel was SO wonderful, patient, and creative with every session with her. She was constantly coming up with different ways to keep her engaged and was always reassuring her to increase her confidence. She gave great constructive feedback on how my daughter was doing and what she can work on to improve. I give her 5 stars! Thanks so much, Rachel!

Overall, very impressed. She is direct and doesn't tell you something you want to hear. Her evaluation process is well rounded and planned. She puts together a great curriculum to know what to expect in the coming lessons. Very easy going person and makes you feel completely comfortable at the initial lessons.

Viola is the undersung hero of the orchestra, and I love to help violists learn this beautiful instrument! Though much of the technique of the instrument is the same or very similar to the violin, violists enjoy a great repertoire of solo pieces and high demand in ensembles, which I can help you discover for yourself. (Please see my violin profile for more information on experience and lesson style)

About Cieran

I love music, and I love helping other people find and develop their love for music! "Fawn is one of the best musicians I know (and I know quite a few), so I was honored to have the chance to work with her and become one of her students. She is good at gauging my proficiency level and working at a pace that suits my needs. Sometimes scheduling issues come up on my end, and she is always readily adaptable, understanding and willing to add extra time if forget a lesson or cancel less than 48 hours before my scheduled time. As incredible as she is, I have no doubt that her prowess as an instructor shall only increase. I would recommend her to anyone and I look forward to continually improving my craft of songwriting, playing and singing.

"I have had the privilege of working alongside Nick, learning from him, and watching him grow as a performer and as a teacher. I have seen him instruct and collaborate with peers and adults, as well as kids ranging from 8 to 18. The way in which he is able to articulate and pinpoint areas where improvement is available, while simultaneously keeping things fun and positive, is a true accomplishment. He cares so deeply about the work, as well as people. If you are looking for someone for your kids or for yourself, Nick comes with a plethora of knowledge and a humble, jovial demeanor. It will be a judgement free zone, so you can come as you are, wherever you are with your singing journey. Be prepared to work hard, connect to your body, and have a great time. I personally still look to him for audition advice, style tips, and reminders of technique. I could not recommend Nick enough."

"Excellent Vocal Coach. Highly recommended.

I have been taking weekly lessons with Liza for over a year and would highly recommend her. I looked for a vocal coach after my first club gig as a front-woman for a rock band. Apparently I was not using my voice correctly as I was extremely hoarse following the performance. Liza taught me how to breath, stand & 'place' my voice (be aware of all of the muscles that create one's speaking & singing voice). Using her methodology, I am able to get through a full set without any vocal strain. She is a good communicator and a pleasure to work with. Thanks Liza!"
