About Zhana

I have been a freelance violinist and a professional violin teacher for the past 30 years. Playing in the orchestra and teaching students are two of my greatest passions in life. - Tbilisi State College of Music and Arts - Bachelor's Degree in Violin Performance.

usician in Europe and the United States.

Professional work experience:
Greenwich Village Orchestra -NY,NY
- Park Avenue Chamber Orchestra - NY,NY
- Charlotte Symphony Orchestra - Florida

My job as a teacher is to help you find a place for music in your daily life and to make a practice time more of an experimental discovery play, than boring work. Once you find a key, it opens up a whole new world of communication.

Perhaps you have decided to become a professional musician or maybe you want to play for your own enjoyment... Whatever your goals are, I can lead you there! Zhana has been a great teacher so far. I just finished week 3 and I can play twinkle, twinkle little star. She is really patience.

Zhana is such a kind, thoughtful, and patient instructor! Our lessons give me the perfect balance of structure and fundamentals, along with playfulness and exploration. She is able to make the connection between the technical aspects of the basics and the musicality of a piece. Zhana regularly plays with me during our lessons, which has really helped me hear my intonation and what correction is needed. She is very understanding of the fact that I am an adult learner and do not always have the opportunity to practice as much as I like, but at the same time she is constantly encouraging me to learn more and improve my technical abilities. I would highly, highly recommend Zhana as a teacher for anyone looking for a new teacher!

I have been a student of Tim’s for a little over a year now. I started playing guitar at age 52 and when I started with Tim I was very close to giving up or settling on just being able to strum a few chords. I have had many hand injuries in the past that have resulted in arthritis and lack of dexterity in my wrists and some of my fingers and I started doubting I would ever be able to progress in my ability to play. From the very first lesson where I told Tim about my hand issues and my frustrations, he told me he was sure we could work around any physical limitations I had, and he was right. Tim has been able to work with me on alternative ways to play the chords I was having trouble with and has shown me that these alternate techniques along with the bit of music theory he sprinkles into lessons can really expand my ability to play.

In the time I have been studying with Tim, I have done more than I thought I ever could. I went from a frustrated beginner guitar player to having enough confidence to play on stage with some of Tim’s other students and I am now looking forward to what I will be able to do on the guitar instead of being frustrated with what I can’t do.

Tim is a talented and passionate musician as well as a knowledgeable and very relatable instructor which is a rare combination and he's also a really great guy and any student of any age or ability will benefit from studying with him.

Tim is an excellent guitar teacher and an overall great guy. He provided me with structure and support, enabling me to make the most out of my practice and ultimately progress as a player. His warm personality and contagious enthusiasm for music kept me looking forward to our time together each week. He was also very flexible when it came to scheduling to accommodate for my dynamic schedule.

She currently runs her own private studio, in addition to traveling to students' homes to teach lessons. She happily teaches anyone who has an interest and willingness to learn, regardless of experience.

Ms. Kelly received a Master of Music from the University of Maryland in 2017 with an emphasis in Opera Performance. She firmly believes that anyone who is willing to dedicate the time and effort to learning a new instrument is capable of doing so, and looks forward to helping new students achieve their goals.

Lessons are scheduled to best accommodate the student's schedule, and as such can be

at a regular day/time or determined on a weekly basis. Please be aware that Ms. Kelly is an opera singer who periodically travels for performances. As such, she may need to reschedule lessons from time to time, but will always give as much advance notice as possible.

I started off as an absolute beginner at singing and made a lot progress under Maureen's guidance. She is a very patient and knowledgeable teacher who prioritized proper support and healthy technique. I would strongly recommend taking lessons with her to anyone seeking to improve their singing.

Maureen is a fantastic teacher for anyone looking to improve their singing skills. I came in with no background in music, and she was very capable in assessing my level and getting me started on exercises and practices to improve my vocal control, posture, and more. She is very friendly and patient, and is always excited to practice and improve. I would definitely recommend Maureen for beginners and beyond who are looking to improve their singing.

About Grace

Grace has extensive experience teaching private and group lessons, including lessons in Piano, English Horn and reed making. Her students have gone on to win scholarships and place in honor orchestras. Currently, her students hold the top spots in nTyme's (North Torrance Youth Musicians Ensemble) Chamber Orchestra, as well as Honor Bands and Youth Orchestra across the country.

Locally, Grace has performed with the Dana Point Symphony, Symphony Irvine, as well as other groups around Southern California. Previously, she was a long time member of the Cheshire Symphony.

Whether you choose to take lessons online or in your home, I strive to make each lesson engaging, informative, and fun! Students are expected to practice in-between lessons and come to lessons prepared with their instrument and music. I also encourage students to bring

any music that they're interested in learning to their lessons.

**Every Other Week Lessons**
Due to current lesson demand, I'm not able to accept new students interested in every other week lessons. The only exception will be if you are able to fill the off week of a current every other week student. Please contact me before booking lessons for a current list of available spots. Spots are available on a first come, first come basis, and are subject to change at any time. This applies to requests for both online and in-person lessons.

**Group Lessons**
I don't offer traditional group lessons, as I've found they slow down the progress of both students and therefore aren't cost effective. Arrangements can be made for back to back lessons instead. Please contact me before booking lessons.

Please feel free to ask me any questions you may have, and I can't wait to meet you!

About Lin

Hi! My name is Lin Belliveau. I have been teaching guitar, Ukulele, bass guitar and music theory for over 30 years. I am currently accepting students at my home studio and online. I have been studying music since an early age and I continue as I believe my music education should be on going. I recieved a degree in Music from Manchester Community College in 1984. Since then I have taught for various schools, churches and clubs. .
Over the years I have developed my own teaching methods and I'm currently writing my own Guitar teaching method book as well as developing a website to go with it. I believe in teaching all styles of music. Students should learn the basics of note reading, chord theory and scales, so that when they leave my studio they can work, learn and grow on thier own
I believe that the student and teacher should work as a

team, with one goal in mind and that is to make the student the best they can be. Each lesson will be tailor made to the student.

About Andrew

I am a member of a progressive rock band and have played guitar for over 11 years, and bass for about 10. I give beginner and intermediate students of all ages a relaxed one-on-one environment in which they can learn to play the guitar, or build upon their current skillsets.

I'm very open to the students' musical interests when structuring lessons. Each student's needs and interests will be met in a teaching experience tailored to the individual. It's easiest to learn an instrument when you get to learn the stuff you're interested in, after all!
I look forward to helping you find passion in playing the guitar, and growing as a musician!

Genres of music I am best with: Rock, Metal, Blues, Latin, Jazz, Funk

I have been taking guitar lessons with Andrew, and he has been an excellent tutor. Though I started without too much experience in music or in guitar playing, Andrew demonstrated a lot of patience to ensure that I master the basics. His patience is definitely a rare trait for a musician who is as accomplished as Andrew, and in my opinion demonstrates not only his commit to music, but also his passion for sharing the joy of guitar to everyone. As a newcomer to learning this amazing instrument, I could not ask for a better instructor.

"I wrote a review several months ago after my first lesson. I have been taking lessons once a week with Michelle and Robert for several months now and felt
it was time to write another review. I listened to a recording of my last lesson and compared it to my first lesson. Wow, what a difference! I couldn't believe it was me on the recording! My voice has developed a powerful and refined quality it never had before. My singing has become effortless and my range has expanded greatly and continues to expand. I can't recommend them enough. I look forward to every lesson because not only are they amazing vocal coaches, they are the nicest people you will ever meet. They are enthusiastic, encouraging, fun, and quite hilarious. My lessons always end too soon and I always improve upon my technique in some way after each lesson."

"Marci is fabulous with senior citizens!!!

I am 60 years old, retired, and have always wanted to take piano lessons. Our perfect grandson, Max, has been t

I am a different student for Marci than she is used to. She has the gift of a true teacher to be able to teach any age. (As a retired teacher of 35 years, I can attest to this professionally as well as personally!) She has the gift of dealing with any age and any ability.

I would recommend Marci with my whole heart and no hesitation whatsoever!!"
