I don't really teach by the book. I teach based on the student's circumstances. For instance, what is their motivation, what are their goals. These things help me to tailor a program based on their needs and preferences. And because I use their real life scenarios, this helps students progress quickly because they can then relate what their learning to what's going on in their real life.

Hello there, future string players and welcome to my profile!!
I was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and raised in Miami, FL. I started my musical career at the age of 8, singing in chorus, playing the recorder, and shortly afterwards moving to the guitar, and the violin.
When I was 15, I was nominated for a James L. Knight Award in Music, and I performed as a violin soloist with the Miami Beach Symphony Orchestra, and the Greater Miami Youth Symphony playing Mozart's Violin Concerto No. 3 in G major. One of my most memorable experiences when I was a kid! In high school, I formed my own string quartet and we would perform all over the South Florida community especially at hospitals and for the elderly. At 16 years old, I was also given an internship with the New World Symphony, conducted by Michael Tilson Thomas, for about 2
years. During this time, I was able to take lessons from master violinists such as Marc Thayer and Glen Cherry. During this time, I was given the opportunity to perform with the New World Symphony at 17 years old for pops concert conducted and performed by Chuck Mangione in El Doral, FL.
I later on accepted a scholarship for violin performance at the University of Miami for my Bachelor of Music, and earned my Master of Music from Florida State University. I also taught string orchestras for 10 years at Ruth K. Broad Bay Harbor K-8 Center, South Florida Youth Symphony as conductor (and now composer!), and conductor of the Greater Miami Youth Symphony. I was appointed Assistant Conductor of the Alhambra Orchestra for two seasons under the guidance of my high school orchestra teacher, Mr. Reginald Nicholson (1947-2011). It was here where I was able to work on my compositions, orchestrations, and conduct a fine group of musicians.
I now live in sunny Los Angeles, in the Sherman Oaks area, and I'm loving the new change. I am eager to share my knowledge with new students on various subjects such as learning a string instrument to learning a different language. Please feel free to ask me any questions.
I am looking forward to getting to know you and your goals for learning! ____________________________________________________
LESSON DETAILS I have been teaching music as an adult, certified teacher since I was in college, but have done teaching as early as 15 years old.
I will help you create a fantastic technical base so you will be able to play with ease as your skill level develops, all while keeping the lessons fun and engaging.
MUSIC STUDIO Piano, Violin, Guitar, Music Stand, General Teaching Aids, Recording Equipment.
TRAVEL EQUIPMENT I can provide a music stand and basic materials but the student is expected to have their own instruments and to buy the music I recommend. I can recommend various vendors/shops where you can buy the ideal instrument for your lessons.
EXPERTISE I am classically-trained musician that also specializes in Tango performance, Latin/Jazz, Rock, and a variety of other styles. I believe that training in the classical aesthetic will create a firm, solid foundation to crossover into other areas listed above. With a good dose of technical exercises, scales, and a variety of repertoire, my students always turn out well-rounded, ready to tackle almost any kind of music they wish to learn.
Thank you for stopping by and let me know what you would like to learn!

i'm french native. I lived 6 years in Colombia. So I manage both languages perfectly. I wrote my own methods to learn French and Spanish. I've patience teaching and I always try to found the best tip to make you learning easiest. So... Nice to meet you !!
I have been teaching for 11 years, having taught students of all ages. Speaking is just as important as reading & writing, so there are always lots of dialogues & conversations. I also incorporate everyday experiences to make the language more accessible. I love languages & cultures, and try to make learning a new language an amazing experience!
I am currently a college professor. I received my Bachelors from Penn State University and my Masters from the University of Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.
Having lived in Spain, I learned first-hand the importance of being able to communicate. I emphasize oral communication equally with reading & writing skills.
Even though I teach collegians, I have also taught young children & older adults. I adapt my teaching methods to best suit whatever age group I am working with.
I love languages and cultures, and am always trying to learn new things. As a student of dance for many years, I am a fan of Spanish & Hispanic music, which I also incorporate into some of my lessons.
I have also done interpretation and translation, so I can provide some instruction in those areas as well.
My goal is not only to teach Spanish, but to also create curio
sity and enthusiasm for the language, culture & history of such a large & diverse population,
I went into this knowing nearly nothing about the Spanish language. This would not be brief if I listed everything I now know about the language (I still
have much to learn). I give Profesora F. excellent on all aspects of
teaching, plus the she made learning a lot fun. She is a great teacher.

Profesora F. is a very caring and considerate teacher. I was going through a rough time when she was teaching me, and she was patient and willing to work with me to help me succeed. She always encouraged me and made me determined to do well. She is a wonderful teacher and person.

Spanish with Profesora F. was awesome. I took Spanish back in high school and honestly I could not stand it. But she really made the class fun and inviting.
I probably learned the most from her than from any other professor. She made the class!!!
Take Lessons with a Native speaker, in a communicative environment. My focus for the lesson is that you learn in context with real life situations. Grammar structures are very important to learn a language but to memorize them and learn them isolated and out of context would be boring and tedious. So, in my classes I offer you to feel you are using the language in real situation and with meaningful understanding, in this way you will acquire language skills forever and will never say that you study Spanish for years but cannot speak it. I love using different resources such as songs, videos, skits, technology tools, among many others to strength your language skills.
Hola!!! I am a Spanish native speaker from Colombia. I love teaching and sharing information from my Hispanic culture. I have been a teacher for 11 years and I have experience teaching all levels from children to adults. I offer you a unique experience with a communicative approach that will focus on producing the language wile understanding in the context of real life situations. Grammar and vocabulary will come along with it bit not with the tedious memorizing and repeating process. You will acquire the language and be able to communicate just like you did with your first language. I use different strategies and personalized your lessons according to your needs and goals. I look forward to having an awesome experience with great students.
I have an avid passion for teaching and I’m very fluent in Spanish. I’d love to help others learn about this very interesting language!
I am an avid English and Spanish teacher who has a great passion for teaching. Ever since I was really young, I always found joy in helping others learn.
I currently teach small classes with young children aged 6-12 from the Caribbean and I love to sing, dance, bake and much more! I am very kind and respectful and I can teach students how to read and speak English and Spanish fluently. I can also help students to gain confidence in the way they read and speak and to express themselves with these languages.
Native from Spain, master degree in Journalism and Education. Certified teacher. More than 25 years of experience. Class tailored to your needs. Group classes much cheaper.
I love to learn new things and I hope I can pass this enthusiasm to my students. Learning is also a team work experience. Together we can do this!!!!! If you are a parent, I have my personal background check. I can share it if you need it.
"I have been taking Spanish lessons online with Ana for almost a year. I am a business executive with a frequent travel schedule but Ana's flexibility has
made this work for me. Ana is very good at pacing the lessons according to proficiency level and she makes it fun with different exercises and activities. I am still at the beginner level but I am feeling more confident when I am around Spanish speakers. I feel particularly confident in my ability to read and understand short passages, signs, directions etc. I highly recommend Ana to people of all ages and skill levels."
"The children love him. know how to keep my grandchildren attention. He is just great."
"Very professional instructor!"
"You will not find a better tutor! Dr D was professionally and personally invested in the success of my daughter. She is fantastic and went above and beyo
nd to make sure my daughter was prepared."
"Joy is great! I enjoy learning Spanish with her. She is very patient and encouraging. :)"
"Whew! Another great lesson with Joy! There's so much to learn and I am grateful she is so patient with me!"
"Brilliant instructor, fun and memorable exercises make it a class to look forward to. The improved atmosphere in learning with Mariella has allowed me to
attain a more rapid progress that was conversationally and occupationally useful much sooner than I anticipated. Working with an instructor one on one also helps greatly decrease anxiety of learning when you will need to try your new skills on others who may not know you well if at all. The lessons she gives, along with the adjuncts on learning recommended, provide an efficacious and complete Spanish learning system where the goal you personally desire will be obtained, be it for travel, occupational, or cultural purposes. I cannot get over how many years I've studied Spanish using books and computer programs and audio CDs in the car, but then to make more progress in a short time than I had over years locks in that speaking high quality Spanish will be in your future if you continue with this instructor and follow her careful guidance."
"I enjoy her lessons. They are hands-on and she encourages me to ask questions. She is very helpful, and I appreciate how much effort she puts into our ses
sions. I highly recommend Mirian."
""It's so nice to see all the positive comments. I've been taking lessons from her, too and I just LOVE her! My brother, who is fluent, complimented my Spa
nish when I saw him recently. He noticed my improvement, all thanks to her help!""
