I just recently started with Dee. She is doing a great job of helping me realistically assess my performance, and constructively set goals to improve the aspects that need work. It's been fun and very helpful.

Our 8 year old son had his first Guitar lesson with Dee this past weekend, and she was amazing. She wasted no time getting down to brass tacks with our son, showing him the various parts of the guitar, how to hold it and within minutes he knew two chords. She was able to keep our kiddo engaged, offered great praise and positive feedback/reinforcement and kept him on task for the entire 45 minute lesson. We could not be happier and cannot wait to see what he learns during his next lessons with her!

See is patient, knowledgeable, and makes lessons fun.
I've been teaching beginner to intermediate cello for 1 year. I played cello for 2 years in High School orchestra.
I love to create. The way I'm most comfortable creating is through writing; whether it's a song, a short story, a poem or a script. Writing has always been the bass line in my life; the heartbeat.
Music and film are both passions of mine. I graduated from Berklee College of Music where I studied Songwriting and Music Therapy. I was pushed to my absolute limits lyrically and musically within these majors, and I am so grateful for it now that I'm on my own creative journey.
I have a great deal of experience, but I am also still learning. I think it is very important as a teacher to always be learning, especially through their students. Teaching these lessons is, of course, about progress and advancement - but also about enjoyment, confidence building and positive encouragement.
My students should expect a well-rounded education on cello involving technical studies, playing in a variety of styles including, playing solo works, and having a great time!
Hello there, future string players and welcome to my profile!!
I was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and raised in Miami, FL. I started my musical career at the age of 8, singing in chorus, playing the recorder, and shortly afterwards moving to the guitar, and the violin.
When I was 15, I was nominated for a James L. Knight Award in Music, and I performed as a violin soloist with the Miami Beach Symphony Orchestra, and the Greater Miami Youth Symphony playing Mozart's Violin Concerto No. 3 in G major. One of my most memorable experiences when I was a kid! In high school, I formed my own string quartet and we would perform all over the South Florida community especially at hospitals and for the elderly. At 16 years old, I was also given an internship with the New World Symphony, conducted by Michael Tilson Thomas, for about 2
years. During this time, I was able to take lessons from master violinists such as Marc Thayer and Glen Cherry. During this time, I was given the opportunity to perform with the New World Symphony at 17 years old for pops concert conducted and performed by Chuck Mangione in El Doral, FL.
I later on accepted a scholarship for violin performance at the University of Miami for my Bachelor of Music, and earned my Master of Music from Florida State University. I also taught string orchestras for 10 years at Ruth K. Broad Bay Harbor K-8 Center, South Florida Youth Symphony as conductor (and now composer!), and conductor of the Greater Miami Youth Symphony. I was appointed Assistant Conductor of the Alhambra Orchestra for two seasons under the guidance of my high school orchestra teacher, Mr. Reginald Nicholson (1947-2011). It was here where I was able to work on my compositions, orchestrations, and conduct a fine group of musicians.
I now live in sunny Los Angeles, in the Sherman Oaks area, and I'm loving the new change. I am eager to share my knowledge with new students on various subjects such as learning a string instrument to learning a different language. Please feel free to ask me any questions.
I am looking forward to getting to know you and your goals for learning! ____________________________________________________
LESSON DETAILS I have been teaching music as an adult, certified teacher since I was in college, but have done teaching as early as 15 years old.
I will help you create a fantastic technical base so you will be able to play with ease as your skill level develops, all while keeping the lessons fun and engaging.
MUSIC STUDIO Piano, Violin, Guitar, Music Stand, General Teaching Aids, Recording Equipment.
TRAVEL EQUIPMENT I can provide a music stand and basic materials but the student is expected to have their own instruments and to buy the music I recommend. I can recommend various vendors/shops where you can buy the ideal instrument for your lessons.
EXPERTISE I am classically-trained musician that also specializes in Tango performance, Latin/Jazz, Rock, and a variety of other styles. I believe that training in the classical aesthetic will create a firm, solid foundation to crossover into other areas listed above. With a good dose of technical exercises, scales, and a variety of repertoire, my students always turn out well-rounded, ready to tackle almost any kind of music they wish to learn.
Thank you for stopping by and let me know what you would like to learn!

Nick is the perfect balance of dedicated teacher and incredible human being. Our 9 year old son loves his violin lessons with him. We are delighted we found him! Thank you, Nick!
Cello is my main instrument. I have taught cello for 12 years and am certified in Suzuki book 1! I focus on building great fundamentals for the best success and use my students personal interests/goals to specialize instruction.
Hello! My name is Leilah and I teach Cello, Piano, and Music Theory. I have a Bachelor's degree from the University of Indianapolis in Music Education. While I studied there, I held the Principal Cellist position my Junior & Senior year. I have played cello for 21 years, Piano for a total of 8 years, and studied music for a total of 27!
I studied under Leilah for several years and I couldn't have asked for a better teacher. She was my first teacher; she showed me the basics of cello and taught me in Suzuki books 1-6. One thing Leilah does that not many cello teachers do is play with her students. At my lessons, Leilah always had her cello out and was ready to demonstrate a technique or playing style, which helped immensely with my understanding of music. Having Leilah as a teacher has given me the skills and preparation I need to play in college. I would recommend her to any cello student who is willing to work hard to improve.

Ms. Leilah has an in depth understanding of the Suzuki Method but also uses many inventive ideas to make lessons fresh and motivating!

ss the United States at events such as the International Trumpet Guild Conference. He currently serves as the Albemarle Road Middle School and Crestdale Middle School Director of Strings as well as teaching private lessons in wind and string instruments. He is a member of the National Association for Music Educators, the International Trumpet Guild, as well as the American String Teachers Association.
Jonathan is an amazing teacher. He is teaching both of my kids, one is learning guitar and the other one Violin. He adapts his teaching method to the way that he knows will work with each one of them. They have learned so much, and we enjoy our time in the studio. He is a great musician.

Jonathan is a great teacher! I had my very first violin lesson with him, and he made me feel like I can actually learn how to play this instrument.
Lessons for all ages and levels! Classical training and reading music which can lead to mastering the instrument and playing anything that you want!
I'm a cellist who has been playing since childhood, and have been teaching students both privately and in groups for the past ten years. Any age or level accepted and any genre of music that you want to learn!

January 17, 2019
Today was the first lesson for my 5- and 7-year-old girls. They were super excited to meet Nicole, and they loved their first lesson. She is warm, clear in her teaching, and punctual. We’re already looking forward to next week.
As a cellist with 18 years of playing experience and 5+ years of teaching I have learned that music can change your life at any age and even can help you heal from whatever struggles life throws at you. Music and learning an instrument can improve your brain functions in a way that no other activity can accomplish. I am so passionate about teaching and customize my teaching style to each student individually because the same approach does not work for everyone. I strongly believe in that and try to get to know my students, who they are, what their strengths and weaknesses are and how I can help to overcome those. I get very involved with my students and build a personal relationship with each one of them to further help them with cello. I've had some wonderful instructors myself including Amir Eldan and Hans Jensen who taught me not only how to play the instrument itself but also how to use those skills that come with being a musician in life. In my lessons I focus on ...
I am a professional cellist who graduated from Oberlin Music Conservatory in 2016 with Bachelor of Music Performance. Since then I have been playing and teaching cello both privately and in high/middle schools. I teach people of all ages from 7 year olds to 85. I get so much joy from my students' accomplishments and personal growth. I was raised in Poland and that is where I started playing cello, and later violin and piano as well. In 2008 I moved to USA to pursue my music education. I am also interested in music therapy and healing through music and making it accessible to everyone. My hobbies include riding a bike, swimming , zumba and musical theater! You can take lessons with me at the comfort of your own home and get better at cello in no time!
Jessica is a wonderful teacher! She knows how to meet the learning needs of every student. She is patient and fun, yet demands that her students improve. I highly recommend her for any level of student. I have seen her work with beginners and advanced students. They all love her and learn so much from working with her.

MY DAUGHTER SO HAPPY TO HAVE YOU TO TEACH HER CELLO YOU ARE GREAT TEACHER AND KEEP STAUDENT KEEP UP THEY WORK.
THANK YOU JESSICA
As a student of mine you can expect to improve your playing skills week to week. I can teach from the very first lesson on. Students will learn techniques to improve their playing and will play fun music. If you are interested in learning improvisation, I can help with that, too. I enjoy teaching violin, viola and cello. I am most passionate about teaching students to become independent, critical thinking musicians who will be able to rely on their own knowledge to learn new music as they go along. I stress music reading, ear training, and strong fundamentals in playing. I am very encouraging, love spreading my love of music.
I began playing violin in elementary school, and immediately knew this was what I wanted to do for the rest of my life. My first words as a baby were lyrics because I sang before I spoke. I played violin until 11th grade when I fell in love with the sound of the viola. I studied music performance and music education in college and I have a bachelors degree in both. I have played professionally in orchestras, quartets, as a soloist, and in many rock and folk settings. I have even put my violin and viola through a distortion pedal and a wah wah pedal in heavy metal/punk music. I have over 17 years of teaching experience and am a licensed teacher in the state of virginia. I have taught in a classroom as well as privately, and have also taught students with autism. I’m a former student of Melissa’s. She is very patient and I learned very quickly under her direction. I’m happy to see her teaching again. I’m anxious to continue learning the cello with Melissa.

I have been taking lessons with Melissa since the end of February. She is an excellent teacher and I have learned so much already! She is encouraging and makes me want to come back week after week to learn more!
"Rob is very knowledgable with regard to the cello--he and my 16 year old son hit it off immediately! He asked my son what he wanted to work on and then t
hey spent the next 45 minutes working on those things. After the lesson, we worked out a continuing schedule of classes for the next few months. We are very happy with Rob as a tutor for my son and equally happy with TakeLessons!"
"So, Jared is a one-of-a kind person who is able to tailor his craft to you. He is observant and watches you carefully, "tuning" his coaching to exactly w
hat you need, when you need it. He is affable and easy to learn from. As if that isn't enough, he is - hands down - an excellent musician. He is a pioneer, willing to stretch to use technology to make things work for his students. Recently we managed a Bossa duet (guitar and cello) via Skype. He is exceptional and has my highest recommendation."
"Zach has been AMAZING for my child. He is patient and able to pull the best out of each student he teaches. He also has a phenomenal way of teaching musi
c. He developed a program that makes it easier for the student to read the music, levels to help them progress and opportunities to interact with other people in live practice sessions. You will not be disappointed if you use him!"
"Very flexible with scheduling concerns. My daughter really enjoys her lessons so far!"
"Hrant is very patient and believes in building a strong basic foundation prior to proceeding."
"Excellent, patient instructor. She didn't let my bad habits go unchallenged, giving me kind and consistent correction. The seemingly small corrections to
form reduced fatigue and improved my playing. She was always great at communication. The best part for me was she did not insist I as an older adult learner practice from an elementary book. She suggested interesting pieces and studies that challenged me without overwhelming. Highly recommend Jessica for all age levels."
"Jared's lessons have greatly improved my sight reading and overall general knowledge of music. I like how he plays along with me and is always supportive
and patient. Highly recommend him, a great teacher for kids."
"Only one lesson so far, but I think Chris is going to be a huge asset for my cello skills. Extremely friendly and easy to talk with. Explains techniques
and concepts in an easy to understand fashion."
"Mr John is a naturally gifted musician & teacher. Our young son has made amazing progress in less than 1 year. We would highly recommend him for cello ins
truction. He has a masterful understanding & knowledge of music and is able to convey this in a professional & easy to understand manner. We are grateful to have such a exceptional teacher for our son."
Many beginning musicians wonder, “Is cello hard to learn?” The process of learning the cello is not difficult, but it’s important to keep in mind that the cello is not an instrument of instant gratification. It does require focused, daily practice time and a good teacher to guide you along the way.
How far you progress with cello is a direct result of the amount of quality time you put into practicing the instrument. Even someone who puts in just 30 minutes a day will notice a signi …
