I have been teaching cello lessons students of all ages and abilities for over 10 years. I consider myself to be a traditional teacher incorporating several Suzuki Method principals, particularly emphasizing good technique, learning the value of effort, and using music as a tool to nurture soft skills that benefit non-musical aspects of school and/or life.

Through cello lessons I strive to help students reach the following goals:
1. Achieve the ability to make beautiful music and demonstrate a mastery of technique at every level.
2. Experience joy through playing music and a sense of success and accomplishment through hard work.
3. Develop valuable skills, traits, and habits that help the student excel in other areas beyond music lessons.

I’ve been a studio musician and a touring musician out of Nashville for many years. I’ve had toured in some of the biggest bands in country music and have played the Grand Ole Opry stage several times. Below I will attach a portion of my resume for futures students. Lately I have quit touring and have been teaching from home and selling Violins through the Internet primarily all over the world. Aside from fiddling I also was classically trained and play an array of stringed instruments. I teach by ear, by sheet music, by nashville number system ... Being in the Studio so much through out the years, I’ve had to play an array of styles and techniques.

Here is a portion of my resume:

Phenomenal teacher and clearly the most qualified one of could find online. She's a published singer songwriter with over a decade of professional experience, and it shows.
I never had vocal lessons before and I’m very happy to have found Paloma! She’s extremely talented and knowledgeable and really knows breakdown technique to target specific areas to work on. She took me from a beginner to intermediate within just a few months and on top of that, she’s very patient and fun to work with. I’d highly recommend her!

I specialize in flamenco guitar, one of the most challenging styles of guitar playing. The techniques and fundamentals of flamenco are valuable resources for any guitarist, regardless of genre or style. While everything is taught through the filter of flamenco, students will gain a wealth of knowledge applicable to the guitar in general.

One can expect to start by developing a full technical routine aimed at developing stamina, strength, precision, and speed. All fundamental techniques will be introduced. Rhythm will be emphasized throughout. Harmony studies will be introduced where appropriate. Repertoire is given according to each student's capabilities and tastes, including resources for accompanying dance and singing.

About Gustavo Alonso

PERSONAL BIO I am a North American flamenco guitarist currently living in Austin, Texas. My music is grounded in traditional flamenco and incorporates elements of jazz, classical, and world music. My fascination with music and the guitar began early, and I picked up the instrument in earnest at

I've been studying guitar for about 15 years, primarily jazz before I met Gustavo. I've never had an instructor that even comes close. He makes a difficult and seemingly inaccessible style of guitar accessible and fun! He's incredibly well educated, not only on the music itself but also on the history and culture of Flamenco; you're getting much more than just a guitar lesson. On top of that, he's also just a wonderful person.
I have been gearing up for some extensive travel in Spain combined with some immersive flamenco guitar studies. Prior to studying with him, I had played various forms of guitar for several years but only had minimal exposure to true Flamenco styles. Gustavo has been extremely helpful in getting me ready for the experience with techniques, fundamentals, in-depth palos knowledge, rhythm and timing, interactions with Dancers and Singers, etc.. He is extremely knowledgeable and talented in all areas of Flamenco and he is very good at explaining it all to a non-native (extranjero) like myself! His depth of musical theory combined with in-depth experience studying in Spain make him a uniquely qualified Flamenco Guitar Instructor. This was my first experience with online instruction and within the first lesson, I felt like I had known him for months. I highly recommend studying with Gustavo no matter how much experience you have when you start this path!!
I have been taking flamenco guitar lessons from Gustavo for over 2 years and have only good things to say about him. His passion for flamenco, his eclectic knowledge of the style, his considerate teaching style are second to none. Gustavo is very inspirational and his teaching style adapts easily to any student’s level. He is easy going and his choice of material is exceptional. I would highly recommend Gustavo to anyone willing to explore the depths and subtaltiies of the flamenco guitar.

I teach from the ground up, meaning I fully utilize my college background when it comes to music. Nearly all my students all started out with zero background in music and within a few lessons I get all my students reading music for guitar and playing well enough so that they can practice themselves. My approach and goal is to equip all my students with the tools they need to practice and become better musicians on their own. I do not like to use my lesson time to practice with my students unless they needed help with how to practice. Each of my lessons include something new that the student can take home with them. With my more advanced students I dive deeper into guitar and music theory, scales, modes, and harmonic composition.

With an extensive academic background in music, all my students have  a structured and strong foundation of not only the guitar but music in general.

About Ronnie

I have over 10 years of experience playing guitar, 3 years teaching guitar, ukulele, and music, and several years of performing and recording history. I am a graduate of Hunter College CUNY with a BA in music. I have a very effective approach for teaching music and many of my students had zero bac

"Priscilla has worked with my daughter over several weeks of beginner guitar lessons. These were in our home. She was always on time. When a cancellation was necessary due to weather, she reached out ahead of time to let us know.

As a teacher, she is wonderful with kids. My daughter (7 years old) has enjoyed every minute of every lesson, coming away very happy after each lesson. Priscilla is very enthusiastic, arrives with a very uplifting attitude for every lesson, knows how to talk to kids, knows how to give them positive reinforcement and motivate them. She left helpful homework notes after each lesson. I highly recommend her."

"Awesome instructor

My experience with Raymond has been fantastic.
He is a teacher among teachers! He is very dedicated and enthusiastic. I really enjoy my classes, it's a good learning experience and is fun. He was trained to be a teacher
so that is an advantage over other instructors, that know their instrument but, are not trained to be teachers.
I recommend Raymond to any one that is looking for the best!"

"Will is a fantastic teacher, coach, and mentor. I coach elementary and middle school basketball and really appreciated Will's combination of knowledge, patience, and ability to connect with each student by adjusting his approach.

Not only did I learn a great deal about playing guitar practically, music theory, and how to put it all together, but I also learned a great deal about larger life topics from a very caring and fun individual.

Will get's my highest recommendation for beginning and intermediate students. I not only took guitar from him, but also banjo, bass, and vocal lessons as well."
