Howdy! My name is Ryan and I can't wait to meet you! I've been teaching private lessons for ten years and have loved helping my students receive exceptional tone, fluidity, and control of their instrument. I look forward to helping you reach your goals! I received my knowledge from Berklee College of Music where I received a B.A. in Performance and Music Education. My teaching style is simple, straightforward, and fun.
I was very impressed with how Ryan engaged my son during his first lesson. He was able to make it fun and educational for him. I think what made a huge difference was his ability to hone in on what what kinds on music my son was interested in and some how work it in to the initial lesson plan. He showed him how much fun it could be and then was able to incorporate the basics from there. Also, he is extremely patient and laid back making it stress free. Thank you for a great lesson! We look forward to continuing more.

We scheduled Ryan to come to our house at a specific time to teach our 15 YO son. He did not show up and called 2 hours after the scheduled time to say he was misinformed by Take Lessons as to the time (even though we had confirmed the time at the beginning). We planned to resume the following week and again he did not show up. He did not reply to texts, his voicemail was not set up on his phone and he made no efforts to let us know that he had cancelled with us.
Hello! My name is Mike and I'd love to help you learn how to play the drums! I'm a lifelong music lover and I started playing the drum set at age 12. I love helping my students learn the drum beats and fills from their favorite songs. I center my teaching around fostering a natural ease and love for playing the instrument, while building strong technique, notation reading skills, and musical knowledge. I have a relaxed personality, and I am quick to recognize your learning style. Whether you excel at learning by ear, or if you are a natural reader, I will help your strengths shine through while also taking the time to strengthen your weaknesses. Most of all, I love to groove, and would love to help you!
Mike is one of 4 drum teachers to enter my son Larry’s life, and absolutely the best one. Larry has shown more improvement in the last 6 months with Mike than in the last 4 years combined with all of his previous teachers.
As my son has a disability, it is often hard to find a teacher that can not only help him to find enjoyment and enthusiasm, but treat him like the serious musician he is. The best part of his teaching… Larry doesn’t even realize he’s learning. To him, they just jam.
I’ve seen my son grow not just as a drummer, but as a musician and student since Mr. Mike became his instructor. Now, he can listen better, play better, and have more fun on his instrument. I am very grateful for Mr. Mike’s patience, compassion, and skill set as a drum instructor and for the confidence he brought to my son.

Has challenged me to improve my technique and has taught me how to play more advanced beats.

It’s hard to express how much Mike’s drumming lessons have made a difference in our son’s life. Mike is a visionary teacher who cares about and connects with his students.
Hello! My name is Cathy and I have been teaching voice (singing) for over 30 years. But don't let that fool you into thinking I'm a stogy old girl who doesn't have a pulse on contemporary music. I teach pop, country, broadway, folk, whatever it is your interested in. I do teach with vocal exercises because without them no changes will be made and that's the whole point right to change your voice? However you do get to sing songs. I teach, so that you will change your voice and succeed in whatever avenue you want. My degree is in Vocal Performance from Northeastern Illinois University and one year of Masters work in Drama from DePaul University.
I also teach ESL, Reading, Writing, History which I have done for the past ten years. I use a variety of techniques since no two people are alike to help you learn English or the Ameri
can lifestyle. I presently teach Caterpillar employees, spouses and children. Let me teach you and see how far we can go.
I have been a performer for 20 years for places such as Disneyland, Brigham Young University, Olympic College, as well as a featured soloist for several church congregations and community venues. I have directed choirs and helped worship teams sing their best for 10 years. I have an Associates degree in music, but have been studying and mentoring in private voice since age 12, and piano since age 8. I specialize in classical and musical theater voice, but am comfortable teaching jazz, pop, light rock, R&B, gospel, and some additional genres, if you desire.
Welcome to my profile. I am glad you are considering string lessons! I am currently accepting online or in-person students.
I am a professional teacher as well as a cellist from the age of 9 and a violinist from the age of 18. I have completed a degree in Music Education with an Instrumental Emphasis and am currently working on my Masters in Music Education, Instrumental Pedagogy.

My 4.5 year old daughter had her first piano lesson with Jingci. I had learned how to play piano when I was a kid, so I could tell Jingci knows how to teach the basic foundation very well. She's firm yet patient and got my daughter to follow her instructions even though her attention span isn't that great at her age.

Ms. Liu is so kind and patient. Great to know her and study with her.
I love to work with students. I‘m a composer, pianist, conductor, and Chinese-government-certificated teacher. I have been playing piano for 23 years, and have been playing flute for 17 years. I am familiar with music theories and traditional music history from the ancient and medieval to the twenty-first century in details as any other professional composer, so if you are curious to listen to a story or even gossip of someone like Bach, Haydn or Mozart, I can tell you one sometimes. As a performer, I was asked to play as principal flutist in my middle school wind band and was also admitted to Piano Major in the first two years of my Bachelor's Degree. I was one of the best pianists in my undergraduate school and switched to the composition and theory major to learn more knowledge (piano GPA was preferred to be high by most composition pr
ofessors to accept this switching). I also have a teacher license issued by the Education Community by my country, and this license is required if anyone in my country wants to be hired by the government as a teacher. I was commissioned by Maryland University and Bowdoin College Museum to write music for them, and also cooperated with a director and had written music for two of her movies.
Jeremiah Gonzales is a fourth year, piano performance major studying at California State University, Northridge (CSUN). He began his study of classical piano during his sophmore year of high school at the age of fifteen. During this time, he met his first teacher and mentor in both life and music, Chet Noll. He studied with Chet at the Keyboard Art School of Music for three years until he graduated and left for collegiate study in 2015. Since his time at CSUN, he has studied piano under the tutelage of the late professor Edward Francis, Jason Stoll, and currently with Dr. Dmitry Rachmanov. Besides piano performance, Jeremiah has many interests. He is an accomplished composer, vocalist, and is a devoted Ballroom and Latin dancer.
"She is a wonderful instructor. She has a very calm and soothing presence even miles away. I am a beginner and I find her to be very patient. She clearly
is talented both in terms of playing the instrument as well as in the art of instruction. I highly recommend her!"
"I could tell Paul definitely knew all the tiny details about mastering the trombone since the first lesson. He recognized what I needed to improve upon in
order to reach my goals in a timely manner, armed me with the tools to do so, and I have no doubt that I will achieve those goals as the lessons progress."

"Excellent teacher, very pedagogical and knowledgeable of an extensive clarinet repertoire. He uses recognized methods, studies and diverse orchestral exce
rpts to develop the technique of his pupils. This technique will allow the student to play skillfully at any time (rehearsals, recitals, concerts, recordings) and in any musical format (orchestra, chamber music). He is always focused on the quality of the interpretation. Moreover, he adapts the work material to the needs of each student to solve any deficiency and enhance the strengths. Additionally, he provides advice about videos and recordings which help students expand their musical criteria. I highly recommend him!"
"Really great teacher and person. Would highly recommend him."

"Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes! I've been taking lessons from Ahmad for about 6 months, and I can actually play the darn instrument now. Amazing. Ahmad is a comp

"1st experience with take lessons and 3rd lesson with Tanesha now. I bought a series of lessons for my 8 year old daughter to learn guitar. Thought it woul
d save me time traveling around. She has already learned two songs! My child feels very comfortable being Alone with her and Tanesha is very patient and encouraging. Best decision! Thank you Tanesha."
"David is absolutely fabulous. He is flexible, caring and willing to work at my daughter's pace. Even when she gets frustrated, he stays totally calm and
handles it with ease. He keeps things light and fun, but somehow manages to keep her on task at the same time. Best of all, my eight year old daughter is truly loving playing the guitar! I cannot recommend him highly enough."
"Ahmad is such a fabulous teacher!!! Super organized, always *always* keeps me on my toes, all while being incredibly kind, patient and encouraging. He's
always got several ways to teach me the material, so when I am struggling there's another angle I can make progress in. So glad I found him, I have learned so much!"
Dreaming about someday starring on the Broadway stage? Here, Los Angeles, CA teacher Meredith P. shares her expert tips to help you get there...
As an audience member, you can sit back and relax at a Broadway show, and not truly understand the work that it takes to get to that coveted stage and the tremendous blood, sweat, and tears that go into each performance. As with athletes, the only thing the audience sees is the end result. A lot of times it can be intoxicating and glamor …
