Jazz piano and general piano lessons taught by a New York conservatory-trained pianist.

Her knowledge of music is shown through her thriving teaching career as well as her performance career which has led her to record several albums and perform at acclaimed jazz clubs across the United States such as the Velvet Note in Atlanta, GA, and Dazzle in Denver, CO.

My 12 year old son loves all music in general, not just a single instrument. He has been playing piano for a while and was able to click with Alex immediately. The way she spoke WITH him ( not just to him) about All aspects was great. She works very well with my son and he is looking forward to his nExt lesson.
Nona R.
I felt very comfortable with her. She was very patient and gave clear instructions on what to work on for next time.
David
Alex is very patient and able to adapt to her students. I studied with her for a year and also got to see other students work with her and she always had a way of getting each student to accomplish their goals. I think when you look for a teacher, you really are looking for someone to teach you how to learn. So many teachers tell you something or tell you what to do but never help you develop a skillset. Alex is different in that she absolutely focuses on developing a fundamental process so that each student not only learns but knows how to learn. As a result, there is progress I can see immediately, of course, but also years down the road. If you're looking for a teacher seriously, consider someone who will make a lasting impact and will make you a better overall person— not just tell you to do something and move on. Alex is a teacher who, regardless if you pursue music, you will come out better because of her teachings. Highly recommend!

Mr Lewis is fantastic. He truly loves teaching kids to love music. My grandson first had him as a 5th grade music teacher and now as a private instructor for his clarinet. He takes each student at their own pace, encouraging them along the way to stretch and challenge.

I made the switch from in-studio to online piano lessons with Gabbi and couldn’t be more impressed with how seamless the transition has been. She has been helping me learn the fundamentals of technique and theory and is very good at creating a challenging yet supportive learning environment. She’s also good at helping me to choose pieces to learn that are within my abilities but still enjoyable to play. My playing has improved a ton in just a few lessons thanks to her guidance. Highly recommend!

I can teach you advanced drumming techniques on a drum set. How to keep time, rudiments, reading drum notation, and how to let loose. Double Bass not a problem.

About Scott

Hi! I'm Scott. I usually perform using a one-man band setup I created. I modified guitar and made foot pedals to control a drum set, while singing. I have a recording studio at home, and have performed with bands as a singer, guitarist, saxophonist, bassist, percussionist, and as a sound engineer.

Lessons are tailored to fit each individual student's ability and goals. I believe in challenging students while maintaining a supportive and encouraging environment. Lessons will cover music theory, technique, and solo pieces. The goal is to develop in each student the specific skills needed to play a string instrument as well as to nurture an understanding and love for music.

"I know Shannalee's work because she was the music teacher at the school I teach at. We were sad to see her go as her husband's career plans affected her decision to stay at the school. She is a pure professional. And her patience and skill with kids made me jealous. She planned and carried out major musical events for the school. She was so nice to everyone. I never saw or heard anything negative from her. She's a great person, responsible, and has tons of ideas that keep kids interested. You can't go wrong. I highly recommend her."

"I played the guitar pretty well but only sang in my room. I took a chance with a lesson from Carl and thank my luck star I did. He showed me pictures and a video of the voice working and taught me all about my voice and how to use it. I got my first standing ovation at my karaoke club last weekend. Carl is now teaching me how to sing other kinds of music and I'm considering learning to sing classical. He's very nice and my Mom promised he will always be my singing teacher. Grateful Evelyn"
