Erin is one of the kindest and most engaging musicians I've ever had the pleasure of meeting and getting to know. She has a natural way with children which puts them at ease. She's thoughtful and completely professional. Her years of experience playing and her demeanor make her the perfect French Horn teacher. My son had the passion to learn to play and she tapped into his enthusiasm and matched it with her energy and appreciation of a student who is eager to learn! I can't say enough about Erin accept that she is uniquely talented and the perfect music teacher.

I earned my Theater and Dance degree from Chapman University in 1998, and moved to New York City where I spent 10 years pursuing a performing arts career, both in theater and as a singer/songwriter. I found minor professional success as a recording artist and studio musician, and performed in numerous off-off Broadway theater productions while teaching theater and dance to children at the Bronx Community Center and also private voice lessons in the recording studio.

Since becoming a mother I have been giving voice lessons from my home. I have had 3 of my voice students audition for X Factor and The Voice. I love to pass on what I know and what I've learned to the next generation of artists and performers.

My teaching style is fun and energetic, lots of positive reinforcement but also high expectations to
do your best and be disciplined, especially when it comes to practicing at home. The only way to really learn is to do it!
Each lesson we will warm up, review technique and work on your current song or scene. Ideally you will build up a repertoire of material you have mastered and can perform.
After 3 to 6 months with me, you should be able to perform or audition with complete confidence and skills that will blow them away!

Stephanie makes our 10-year old daughter feel so comfortable. She actually loves learning more about singing and the few techniques she has learned has helped her immensely! Gianna does not worry about singing in a microphone or in front of people as much. She's so into it that she's singing and whistling more and more around the house! It's well worth the drive.

About Ahmad
I'm Ahmad a very enthusiastic musician. I started out teaching myself guitar at the age of 12. I moved to the U.S. in 2001 and studied music for 15 years receiving my B.M. & M.M in music and audio production at San Francisco State University. I then moved to Los Angeles then studied and trained with John Mayer, Joe Satriani, Steve Vai, George Lynch and many others. I have performed hundreds of concerts in the U.S. as well in Europe & the Middle East and toured with Artists such as Ozzy Osbourne, Metallica, Guns N Roses, Michael Angelo Batio, Ratt, Sammy Hagar, Dokken and many others. I ranked #1 in the Slash Guitar Center competition. I was in the "list of top 5 guitar players ever" according to The Examiner, also picked as one of the best guitarists of 2013 and 2014 consecutively in the Rockwell UnScene magazine, and ranked 3rd in the St
eve Vai Sam Ash Best in Shred competition.

I find a student's strengths and weaknesses using various ways to encourage each student. I am very patient, kind, flexible, and enthusiastic and I love working with children as much as adults. I strongly support basic skills: sight-reading, pitch and tone.

I have 25 years experience teaching kids and adults guitar. Also performing live and in the studio.

*** Lesson Details ***
My objectives: to help students powerfully communicate through the essence of music and aid the development of children and adults by finding their strengths and weaknesses and to develop their skills and show their musical talents. I emphasize basic skills, good sight-reading, guitar technique, and theory.

Lessons are held at either your home, or mine using composers from various time periods that speaks to the individual student.
Also,I do prefer to work weekly with my students.
A beginner lesson may be 10-15 min. for warm-ups and scales, 10-15 min. theory and rest playtime. In three to six months the student will be able to read sheet music and should be able to perform simple songs.

An intermediate lesson has more focus on music and technique from a specific genre. A specialty is preparation for guitar auditions or doing live or studio gigs.

I enjoy teaching children from age 5 up to adults.

*** Specialties ***
I teach the basic skills very strongly, and also encourage students and challenge them, as well.
I also have new techniques for teaching Electric, Acoustic & CLassical Guitar.
I do prefer to teach a weekly lesson.

Investing in an instructor was the best decision I have made with regard to learning to play. Prior to this, I relied on friends and You Tube videos which doesn't even touch the surface.

I recently started studying with Ahmad and have learned so much in the short time we have worked together. He is genuinely down to earth, patient and a natural at teaching. He understands how to teach. The continuity of his instruction superceded my expectations. After each lesson, he emails a "lesson recap" detailing what we went over during class along with helpful materials to review and practice for the next session. I feel honored to work with an instructor of his caliber. If you're serious about learning, I highly recommend Ahmad. You will learn so much from him and be challenged along the way. His passion for guitar and music in general is awe-inspiring!

I have been playing the piano for over twenty years. I began at the early age of seven years old. Because piano has played such a vital role in my life, I believe it is a responsibility of mine to pass on such a delightful gift of piano playing to those who would like to make it a part of their life too.

I have spent over ten years teaching piano in different areas. This includes a piano lab for a private school, a music studio, and at my home. Throughout the past ten-plus years, I’ve had the privilege to teach over 250 students. I have had over a dozen large recitals with crowds each time of over 150 people.

Not only do I have piano experience, but I also have studied the art of teaching by earning my bachelor of science in elementary education.

My passion is music and being able to teach others to play the piano. I love seeing
the progress of students and the light that comes from learning their favorite piece.

I look forward to meeting you and helping you on your piano playing journey!

About Hyojung
Hello, my name is Leann Hyojung Cho.

When I was 5 years old, I started my piano training in classical and jazz piano.

I studied Jazz and Pop Piano at the Post Modern Music Dept. at the very famous Kyung Hee University (in South Korea). This is the same school that produced pop stars like Rain, Super Junior’s Kyuhyun, Primary, Big Bang’s GD and Daesung, TVXQ’s Yunho and Yoochon to name a few.
Since I was in College, I’ve been teaching pop and jazz piano to a variety of students, from beginner to the experienced, at all age levels. I understand every student is not the same, so I make it a priority to adapt my teaching style to match a person’s learning style to maximize the learning session.

While providing lessons to a variety of students, I joined multiple bands and jazz groups playing various genres such as, alternative rock
, hip-hop, pop, and fusion. In these groups, I played piano concerts, played for various video projects, and also multiple studio recordings.

After I graduated with my Bachelors, I wanted to develop my music knowledge as a jazz composer. Therefore, I prepared and studied hard, and was admitted to the very competitive University of Miami Studio Jazz Writing program which is top 3 in nation for music programs. Since then, I’ve made Miami my home. In addition to playing music, I have been teaching Korean to UM students in their Direct Independent Language Studies program.

In Miami, my music creativity has grown and I have met amazing musicians. From 2011 to the present, I have arranged, composed, and continue to perform in various fields.

I believe my various experiences will help me teach you to learn the piano in any style you choose. Doesn’t matter who you are, what your experiences are, I will guide you to learn the piano, whether it be for professional reasons or recreationally.

I do project pitches for my company at client sites and Meredith has been incredible at helping me refine my talking points, and has even consulted on my core offering, allowing me to reflect on what’s more important in my pitches, and has overall helped me feel more comfortable in how I’m communicating. I believe she has been responsible for me being able to land my most recent contract, which was huge! I highly recommend Meredith, she’s incredibly patient and understands why I do what I do, and directs me to communicate from that truth, which has helped me immensely!

Okay get ready for a lengthy essay!

I have taken lessons with Brian for about two years, and he is, hands down the most influential teacher I’ve ever had. A little background on myself—before I started lessons with Brian, I used to be in marching band, which was rather strict. This really affected the way I presented my self esteem and myself as a musician.

Upon having my first lesson with him, we instantly clicked! He has so much insight, not only in musicianship, but in the music industry too. Brian is very creative, and there was never a lesson I had with him that was boring.

The thing that really stuck out the most from him was that he was very encouraging. As someone who used to have such low confidence, Brian was there to reassure me on my progress, but also knew when and how to give me constructive criticism. I grew more passionate and motivated to learn new things with him, and honestly, I wouldn’t have gotten so far without him.

I DEFINITELY recommend taking lessons with Brian. To get most out of each lesson, don’t be afraid to ask questions, no question is dumb! He will, surprisingly, have a ton to say about the most simple things.

Thanks Brian, everything you have taught will definitely stick with me. It might’ve not seemed like much at the time, but each lesson I had with you has changed my perspective on more than just drumming.
