I've been teaching acoustic guitar for 7 years (since I was a teen myself!) and ukulele for about 3. Within the first few lessons, you'll be able to read and play from basic tabs, and as time goes on we can work on songs you pick yourself. I generally don't teach ukulele students to read sheet music unless they ask; this is because in the "real world" of playing musicians, ukulele players almost never use actual sheet music. Students should have and bring their own ukulele. I will work with students ages 6+, but I recommend waiting until the individual student has sufficient hand size/strength to feel comfortable reaching several chord shapes.
- I am classically trained in piano and music theory (attended college for both from the age of 15) and have a strong emphasis on music theory and good technique in my lessons, but I also understand the importance of ear training. I practice with and encourage each student in developing relative pi

I have been playing viola for 17 years and teaching violin, viola, and cello for 8 years. I graduated from the University of West Florida in 2016 with a Bachelor of Arts in Music Performance - Viola. My viola instructor was Dr. Leonid Yanovskiy, current and former concert master of the Pensacola Symphony Orchestra, Northwest Florida Symphony Orchestra, and many others.
While earning my degree, I also learned how to play violin and cello and am able to teach them up to an intermediate level.
My teaching ideology is that ANYONE can learn an instrument at any age. I have taught students as young as 4 and as old as 65! Many adult students of mine have expressed difficulty and even shame in trying to find a teacher for them who would take them on, simply because they were starting as an adult.
We don't have to train for the symphony (unless you want to!); your goals are my goals and I will help you reach them!

I teach with an emphasis on note reading as well as incorporating ear/chord playing. I love the repertoire of classical music and try to encourage students with even easy versions of the great masterwork pieces.
A violinist with a Bachelors Degree in Music Education and a Masters in Music, Anna F. uses a classical approach to teaching violin since that gives a foundation of excellence. Anna has taught both privately at home as well as in a private school setting. Anna began teaching around 2007 for a few y

If you need help polishing your audition, I hope you will let me craft your best impression!
Originally from Little Rock, Arkansas, Chad is a director, actor, and composer based out of New York City. Chad is a member of Actor’s Equity Association and has had the privilege to work all across the country. Chad is currently the Associate Artistic Director for Shake on the Lake Shakespeare in
Through several years of working with him, I can vouch that with him you always know what you get: 100% quality, all of the time. He is fully present, meets you on eye level, is kind and understanding, and encourages/motivates you to go beyond what you thought was possible.
Whether it is audition prep, Shakespeare scene work, or general acting skills, there is nobody I would trust more than Chad to help me be the best actor I can possibly be.
Most importantly, with Chad I have always felt completely safe to explore characters, inner movements, and feelings in the process.
The only bad thing I can say about Chad is that he will absolutely ruin you for the next coach or director that comes along, since no one can come even close to his quality.

I work with the student to develop a curriculum based on their musical interests and my own teaching pedagogy. I strongly feel that for musicians to own their education, they must have a say in what they play. Assigning method books and mindless etudes to practice doesn't have nearly the same effect asking them "Ok, what kind of music do YOU like? What do you want to PLAY? What do you want to LEARN?".
I believe that students learn best when they are invested in a subject, and the best way to get them invested is to individually get to know each one, speak to them on their level, and get them playing music they're interested in.
I'm a professional performer, educator, and recording artist. I received my Masters in Music from New Mexico State University, and my BA and BME from the College of Wooster in Ohio. Students can expect to improve their technique and performing repertoire within a matter of weeks. We will collabo

I focus on note reading and music theory, in addition to technical studies. I encourage chamber music and will often pair up students to play duets and trios.
Welcome to my music studio! This will be a fun, incredible way to start or continue your music instruction. I have been a private violin and piano instructor since 1991. I took a break in 2005 while my kids were little. Now that they have grown up a bit, I am so excited to come back to this!
