The Uke is growing in popularity because of it's ease of playing and how much fun it is to play. A great starter instrument to branch onto guitar later on or a unique instrument to master. I can help you master the Uke and have a lot of fun doing it.

Very easy to talk with. Determined my level of experience and then tailored his teaching to that. Demonstrated everything with the goal for me understand and then reproduce what he taught.

Looking forward to our next lesson.

Great first lesson, I've got another scheduled today and am very much looking forward to it. And yes, Jeremy, I did my muscle memory homework.

I've been teaching ukulele for 15 years. Within the first few lessons, you'll be able to strum accompaniments to simple songs. As time goes on you'll be able to play more advanced chords and combine melody with the chords to do solo arrangments. For Children, I typically use The Hal Leonard book "Ukulele for Kids". It's a great book for getting the student up and running very quickly. For Adults the Hal Leonard Ukulele Method book 1 and 2. For someone who has played before The National Guitar Workshop has a uke book that works well for a little more advanced students. I love working with students of all ages and experience levels and I can't wait to meet you!

Eric has taught me a lot in 5 months! He is patient but also corrects my technique which I appreciate. He explains the various skills and techniques making sure that I understand them using efficient fingering. He is also left handed which helps me see the mirror image as I am right handed. Highly recommend him!

I’ve had two lessons with Eric and both have been fun and informative. Eric’s approach allows the student to discover while learning, a useful approach to instruction. As an adult learner retuning to music after many years I’ve found Eric’s method refreshing.

Advanced
Expand into more complex polyrhythms as well as asymmetrical meters. Also expand harmony and melody to include modes and chromaticism. Push your skills through original creations or original arrangements of existing material.

Talented teachers are rare. Like a great coach i sports... the coach doesn’t need to be the top athlete in his field to know how to teach each team member to hone their best abilities, he just has to know and see how to teach you how to get there. Being an outstanding teacher is a great talent all in itself... and that is Jesse. He has that quality and ability to lead, focus and take you where you want to go.

Jesse has given directions on how to successfully become a better musician. His approach and explanation on musical theories was much more understandable than what I was previously reading. Overall, I found the lessons to be very usefull.

"Kat is a thoughtful and gifted teacher, and is great with kids! She is teaching my 7 year old to sing, and play the ukulele. She has been such an inspiration to my daughter who had previously been frustrated and discouraged by taking lessons from two prior teachers, so much so my daughter wants to take up guitar and possibly songwriting in the future. My daughter always looks forward to lessons with Kat. I am also happy she practices and does her homework because she wants and chooses to do so, and not because I am bugging her about it! It's so refreshing and such a relief! Kat has a special way of connecting and encouraging my daughter to develop her passion to sing and play music. Thank you Kat! Keep up the great work!"

"Greg is a great instructor. He is very patient with the children and delivers information very clearly. At the same time he is very encouraging which is the great motivation for the students. My daughter has been having classes with Greg for over a month now. She went from “oh I can’t” to playing “Riptide” and “Hey, there Delilah”. She might not play them perfectly yet, but the fact that she is willing to pick up uku by herself to practice any songs she wants every day shows that it’s not forced learning to satisfy parents, it is a hobby which my child enjoys."

"I hadn't played a musical instrument since elementary school when I started Ukulele lessons with Ben. Ben started from the beginning, answered all my questions along the way, and built upon that information in each lesson. It wasn't in a didactic way, but in a way that was really customized to fit my Ukulele lesson goals. Ben's teaching style is very flexible also. I had some Ukulele lesson books I had been gifted and we worked from those. I didn't feel that I had to buy a bunch of additional equipment, books, etc.

I recommend Ben as a music teacher. He is understanding, encouraging, and inspirational. I am looking forward to continuing lessons with Ben and JC Instrumental."

He focuses on what you want to learn (e.g. how to read music, learn to play a specific song), and he gets you there with great, fun exercises to encourage learning. He is really good with beginners. I would highly recommend David for the Uke."
