Piano lessons are strictly for beginners or for students who have little to no training. The first few lessons are dedicated to learning the proper playing technique and practicing several exercises to increase the hand’s coordination, flexibility, and mobility. Once the proper technique has been established we move on to Suzuki method and a series of Etudes catered to the student’s learning needs.

Piano is an essential instrument for all musicians. No matter what you do in the music, you'll need some piano playing knowledge. I teach a lot of children how to play piano. Even if you are an adult, you'll learn the basic techniques in playing piano. I play scales, arpeggios and other exercises with you and go through some important and effective piano method books.

My lesson plans are designed to be musical and fun. I want my students to understand the language of the music by studying their favorite bands, reading music, and understanding the theory behind it. I have a strategy for everyone starting from beginner, intermediate, to advanced. I remember playing s piano for the first time and what a struggle it was to play my favorite songs. There is a method for achieving these goals and it is different for everyone. The one thing that will allow you to succeed is having a desire to learn and a passion for music. If you have those two things then I can direct you to the right path to achieve your musical goals!

You will learn how to play and identify notes on the keyboard, read sheet music, learn rhythmic values, play chords, and so much more. The piano is a very diverse instrument. It is a great tool to teach a student about music in general. In addition to learning how to play the piano, you will lean many basic music theory concepts.

I've been playing piano for over 20 years and love teaching the basics to new students! My students all learn excellent technique to strengthen the hands and sharpen the mind to set the best foundation for becoming intermediate and advanced musicians. How to read music is also included in the lessons.
