We've got to be able to communicate musically as step one. Furthermore you will need a basic understanding of the guitar. I will explain both of these essential steps in an easy to understand fashion the works best for you. Next we will apply what we have learned to learning a simple song you like. Where we go from there depends how your personal goals and how much time you have to practice.

Successfully teaching current students with clear, concise lessons.
All of my current students have developed confidence and enthusiasm to learn all materials presented in an easy to comprehend format.
Each student learns at different levels so all lessons are customized to challenge them but also insure they learn and retain all materials presented to them.
Currently have 16 students ranging from beginners to advanced level.
When selecting a teacher, make arrangements to meet in person to review short and long term goals of learning a musical instrument. Pricing should only be used as the last criteria before making a final decision. It's important to insure your instructor is patient and willing to challenge students to setup a practice routine that will fit their current schedule.
If a student needs an instrument, have instructor give recommendations based on the musical styles they are interested in learning.
Students often ask how long it will take to learn to play a Guitar.

I like to make lessons fun and engaging for my students. Practicing for the sake of practicing doesn't yield usually leave a lasting love for playing music. I'm passionate about helping my students figure out what kind of music they enjoy or connect with and giving them the tools and techniques needed to play their favorite songs and styles - and also be able to play with their friends. I'm happy to go as deep into theory as the student wants to go. Learning the guitar changed my life because it gave me a new way to connect with people, and I started playing in churches and bands at a young age. My hope is to help my you or your child develop a love and mastery of your instrument!

Over the past 12 years, we've given over 3,000,000 lessons to happy customers around the world.

We have been working through a challenging topic- learning Indian classical Raga's for the guitar. I feel that with every lesson i've been more inspired and walked away with new ideas (both technical and...philosophical). This is a type of music that I never thought was accessible to me but based on his talent as both a sitar player and guitar player i'm happy with the curriculum that he is providing me with. Thanks Omar!"

I am amazed at the progress I've made. I've gone from badly strumming a few songs to being able to do some simple guitar solos. Don focuses on fundamentals and technique, and it pays off, and really helps you learn faster."
