I started learning Ukulele with Kevin and then picked up Guitar lately, Kevin has a systematic way of teaching, instead of covering each and every chords, he summarizes them by different shapes, and also their variations, so you can memorize the basics and find their "relative" chords easier. He also taught music theories, how each chord is formed, and if you want to play a specific song, he's also glad to help on finding the exact chord and transfer them into different notes that suits you. Definitely have your notebook ready since there's a lot to learn. The harder thing for myself is with the online class, it's not as efficient as a face-to-face one, I also tend to be less motivated to practise but you ought to just find your own motivation!

I have been involved in singing for many years now and I can tell you that Kevin knows what he is doing with his special skills teaching voice and guitar. I feel lucky to have found him and I hope to continue learning from him for a long time.

Kevin offers helpful advice and insight. An instructor with a deep understanding of music, he demonstrates a great ability to guide new students. He brought clarity to problems I experienced as a new guitar player. I highly recommend inviting Kevin into your music journey.

We covered a lot today! I think we're going to work well together

Kevin was very knowledgeable and patient

I have very much enjoyed my classes with Kevin. We have made great progress and the classes have been a good mix of focusing on the important fundamentals and exploring things specific to my interests. I think Kevin has the knowledge and ability to teach you anything you would want to know about music!

Kevin is an incredible teacher. He is exceedingly patient and he is a warm and kind human being. I could never asked to find a better teacher than Kevin. He is humble, smart, and amazingly knowledgeable

Kevin was very helpful and helped me understand concepts of music theory very clearly. Thanks!!

Great Lesson and very comfortable setting. Kevin was very good at taking it step by step and laying down the bricks for a good foundation in learning.

We didn't play much guitar but Kevin was patient enough to walk through some beginner theory to gauge where my knowledge was and from there we built a plan and I'm already working on new ideas etc...looking forward the next one

Thank you Kevin for your patience and understanding with our granddaughter. She has enjoyed lessons and guidance with you for the last year.
Thank you,
Judy McKown

Kevin was calm and patient and clearly knows how to teach children. We were very pleased with our first lesson and are excited to continue learning the guitar with Kevin.

Kevin is one of the best teachers I have ever encountered - not just musically either. As an educator myself I acknowledge that is takes a very special person to convey "complex" material to another in a way that is digestible, relate-able, and fun. And Kevin does just that. Honestly, I can't think of a better music teacher than him. Thank you!!

Very excellent teacher! Funny and clever

This was our first lesson and first impression is that he was very patient with our boys. Our boys have some special needs and he was understanding and accommodating. It's clear he is very knowledgable about the instrument. Time will tell if his teaching style and personality will work for us in the long run.
M&J's mom

I have been taking lessons with Kevin for a few months now and i look forward to our bi weekly sessions. Kevin has a vast amount of musical knowledge and is easy to talk to and work with, he is understanding of skills and weaknesses and will benefit any student who wants to learn.
Thanks Kevin.

I played clarinet for ten years. I wanted to find a teacher who really knows how to focus on a student's goals and weaknesses. Kevin has provided me with weekly lessons that I can take home and make trues progress in picking, timing, reading, fingering, and listening, Kevin is a true professional.
Learning a lot!
Kevin is a very knowledgeable, dedicated, patient, flexible, and professional instructor. He is very observant about when to push me to practice more and when to just allow me space to absorb what I've just been taught. And occasionally when I get a little frustrated with my guitar and progress is particularly slow for me we sometimes switch to vocal coaching.
Plus I have an incredibly busy work schedule and Kevin has always been very willing to adjust my lesson time as necessary.
Great Voice Lessons
I've been trying for a while to get to the level where I can confidently sing, knowing that I am doing the best my voice can attain. Kevin is helping me pull through my bad habits, and re-enforcing the proper technique without drowning out my personal style.
Really helpful! Thanks, Kevin!!
Creative Music Writing
Kevin taught me how to write lyrics with imagery and to put the chords and inversions behind those lyrics to create pop masterpieces!
Patient, easy to follow
even though we only had 2 lessons with kevin, he was very helpful and we gained knowledge through his teaching.
He understands the muscial instruments very well but was unable to connect with my son age 11(guitar). He wanted him to love playing in order to teach but my son loves basketball more and is learning because Mom said he will be thankful later. He has an ear and is patient and was learning things quickly even though it's not his 1st love. sometimes parents have to overrule in certain situation and I want give up now because I believe it's good to be well rounded.
