Experienced piano teacher for 20+ years, available for eager students of all experience levels and ages! I structure my lessons so students learn what they want to learn, while also building a strong foundation in their playing skills. I specialize in teaching as early as 3 yrs old, I typically use different methods of teaching, no specific curriculum, it depends on students' personality, cognitive development, age level. I use online piano games & teaching tools to help students develop the habit of practicing with more fun.

I do recitals at least twice a year, & that includes Community Recitals, Students participates to different programs & festivals sponsored by CAPMT District 1, National Federation of Music Clubs & Music Development Program by Royal Conservatory of Music to assess their knowledge, skills & abilities.

My students excel in everything they do because of the techniques we learn that incorporate skills to strengthen learning in subjects including: math, science, languages, reading, writing, creativity and many more life long skills. I challenge my students and encourage them to have fun most of all in pursuing their passions for music.

I am most comfortable using simple methods for teaching children. The student will become acclimated to the instrument and move through recognized, engaging study materials some of which have prerecorded tracks for the student to listen to at home.

As a music teacher for over 30 years, I want to pass on to my students that learning music can be fun. I have taught beginning through advanced piano and voice, beginning guitar, trumpet and French horn. Some of my students have gone on to become music teachers, singers and professional musicians. I formulate my lessons to fit each student's needs. Music theory, ear training, and sight reading will be part of my lesson curriculum.

With over 10 years of experience teaching music privately as well as in a classroom environment, Joseph is skilled at facilitating students with various learning styles and abilities. He is trained in classical piano and has achieved an ATCL degree in Piano from Trinity College, London.

Private piano lessons are available for beginner to advanced beginner piano students. The curriculum includes learning to read music through a method book and applying that knowledge to real songs in chart form. Fingering, scales, rhythm, songs, duets, chords and basic chord progressions will be touched upon in the lessons.Travel available for in home lessons up to 15 miles pending location, scheduling, and availability. 4 weeks or more notice is required for discontinuation of lessons.
