Classical Guitar Lessons in Mission Valley East. Amazing Teachers.

I play many instruments, but Guitar is my first instrument. I'll go through a method book together with you, in which you can learn the basics, including note reading, playing some simple chords...After some months this basic course will open a door for you to enter the world of Guitar playing and you'll be able to play many songs. Many of my students are interested to sing to Guitar and I help them to sing to Guitar too because I am a voice instructor too. Guitar is an easy and fun instrument to play.

Beginner to intermediate, classical form

I can teach traditional classical guitar finger picking techniques using a nylon string guitar. I can also teach fingerpicking on steel string acoustic guitar, as well as performing and arranging classical pieces on the electric guitar. I also love to make my own arrangements of classical pieces from other instruments. My personal favorites to perform are J. S. Bach and Heitor Villa-Lobos.

Depending on experience, we will start working on basic techniques or a piece that best suits your skill level.

Professional teacher/musician since the 1970s. I teach beginner, intermediate and advanced students on guitar, ukulele, and tenor banjo. Style include Folk, Jazz, Fingerstyle, beginning Classical. Acoustic or Electric. If you're just getting started, I can give you a solid foundation and get you playing songs quickly. If you're a more experienced player I'd love to help you with ear training, reading, chords, leads, learning the fingerboard, college audition prep, and more … Let's set off on your musical journey!

For classical guitar we will use my favorite standard method book by mel bay, which will allow you to work ahead of lessons and develop ideas and questions.
