I can teach 4-string, 5-string, and 4-string fretless bass.
I can show you all styles, from jamming along to basic notes of the radio-friendly variety to intricate scales that outline the melody.
I can teach you how to use a pick, which great for beginners. I also play finger-style and slap, which are more advanced techniques.
You'll learn how to keep it low in the mix and tightly maintain the rhythm section. Then if you want, stand out on a crowded stage with blistering leads and tasty slap parts!
I will also show you the very important methods to hone in your tone and gain properly to play properly with others and on recordings. I can show you how to play in lower tuning as well!
I typically will teach and write bass using tablature instead of standard sheet music. These are a simple set of lines and numbers that are much easier to read, and once learned will instantly give you access to thousands of songs.
