For beginners, I can write easy versions of your favorite songs for you, while giving you a well balanced music education.

For singers, I can show you how to easily accompany yourself and sound like a pro without reading a note.

I can give you ideas for jamming, soloing, and writing songs while showing you music theory, or I can teach you riffs to your favorite songs!

Being a drummer as well I can show you how to play "in the pocket" with rhythmic precision when playing with a band or by yourself.

For children, I make lessons fun and varied with learning and musical games to keep them excited and engaged.

For everyone, I can teach you the most efficient ways to learn any musical skill based on experience and leading scientific books on learning, while keeping lessons fun!

Moa is the best and makes everything feel very light and comfortable! I had never taken a singing lesson before and can be paralyzingly shy. I’ve taken 5 classes so far and will continue to take lessons with her for writing and guitar. I highly recommend taking class with her :)

I'm a beginner at guitar and never did I think that after 3 lessons I would be playing the iconic rock songs that I know and love! Moa has an uncanny way of breaking things down and making a complex instrument easy to learn. I've throughly enjoyed every lesson thus far, and look forward to eventually becoming proficient with Moa's help!

When taking a lesson from me you can expect a fun and attentive one on one lesson. I am thorough and patient. I expect you to love music and put forth effort. I'm laid back, I will work as fast or as slow as you need. I prefer a total immersion technique, to get my students playing right away. I Feel this boosts their confidence and help foster interest. In my experience once a student enjoys playing you don't have to convince them to practice.

By the first lesson you will be familiar with the instrument and it's parts, and playing your first chord. With a little work and some practice in 3-6 months you will be playing guitar have a greater knowledge of chords, basic harmony know a few scales and be able to play some awesome songs. Once you have a foundation of chords we can explore the more specific things you want to learn musically. I will get you through the basics and then the lesson will become more personalized. If you want to learn about songwriting, guitar tones, or ...

It has been a delight taking lessons with Omar. The sitar is a foreign and old instrument, and Omar was very patient with getting me acclimatized to the instrument itself - all the nuts and bolts of putting the instrument together, tuning and playing the strings. Omar adapts very well to my pace of learning, and teaches with depth, instead of rushing through material. Lessons are always fun and easygoing, and I leave with not just technical knowledge, but with also a feel for the background and vibes of Indian classical music.

Omar is an amazing teacher! He has taught me a lot about the the history and how to properly play the sitar. Highly recommend learning from him if you are interested in the sitar : )

My time with Rich was really strong. I took lessons from Rich for a short while when living in Connecticut. The time I spent with him was VERY helpful to me as a novice guitar player. Rich has an unbelievable knowledge of the instrument and is quite an accomplished player. He is a really strong instructor and genuinely wants his students to get better.

In short, Rich is a very talented instructor/player and I would definitely take lessons from him again.

My goal as a teacher is to help my students play music and achieve their individual goals while getting the best possible sound from the guitar. After a musical foundation is established, I have found that technique is learned best when in tandem with repertoire that supports it. While I encourage my students to explore various and any genres of music, I do request that my students are open to learning technique as it equips the student with the skills necessary to tackle any genre of music.

Talented teachers are rare. Like a great coach i sports... the coach doesn’t need to be the top athlete in his field to know how to teach each team member to hone their best abilities, he just has to know and see how to teach you how to get there. Being an outstanding teacher is a great talent all in itself... and that is Jesse. He has that quality and ability to lead, focus and take you where you want to go.

Jesse has given directions on how to successfully become a better musician. His approach and explanation on musical theories was much more understandable than what I was previously reading. Overall, I found the lessons to be very usefull.

"I started lessons with Ahmad not knowing anything about guitar or how to read music. He was excited to start fresh with me and teach the basics. He is always patient and is excited about his job, which makes it fun for me. While I am still very much a beginner, I have noticed progression and owe it all to Ahmad. I am currently on a little break from playing, but I am looking forward to reaching out to Ahmad as soon as I can to start lessons again. If you love music and are interested in learning how to play, make the call to Ahmad - you will not be disappointed."
